Yeah, and I don't think he was a proper albino, just a light blond guy with blond eyebrows and a ruddy complexion. I called him Fruitman... ;).

Who was the albino guy selling fruit and vegatables off of a truck where Newport now stands? I think he opened a store later. It was early eighties.

This article makes me hopeful that White Eagle Hall will bring some nationally and regionally touring acts to Jersey City. Quote FTA: "White Eagle Hall?s performance schedule is literally top secret at the moment ? non-disclosure agreements have been signed and details cannot be released until a certain time -
which is extremely exciting. They promise a packed fall schedule that will slowly reveal itself this summer."

Non-disclosure agreements regarding a performance schedule?

Odd.

For that kind of money, the bike should pedal itself.

$3,000 gets you a basic entry level racing bike, particularly after you factor in the frame, the component set, and the pedals. Good, entry level carbon fiber bikes will usually run you about 5K. It then goes up from there. You can pay 10K or even 20K for some top end models. The more you know...

There are speaker cables for 20 grand as well. Just sayin'.

If I was there, I would have been denouncing it right then and there.

Next time try to be a little more open minded about things you disagree with, and try not to use such a broad brush. Otherwise people might get the wrong idea about you.

You didn't understand my point. Please read my post again.

I understand your point perfectly, but when liberal mayors order their police to stand back and do nothing while violent liberals beat up Trump supporters, and liberal celebrities and the media say absolutely nothing about this, it is fair to paint the Left with the broad brush as being the party of violence.

The left lost the election and will never accept it. They will try to regain power by force. A former Obama official suggested a military coup against Trump. Celebrities routinely spew violent talk. Antifa commandos declare WAR. The media are either silent or tacitly approve. The logic is that violent resistance is justified, because Trump is, quite obviously, a Fascist.

I remember INS rounding up illegals in NYC in big raids in the eighties. Not a peep from liberals then. How times have changed... I guess libtards need new causes to try and remain relevant. So they are down to illegals and muslims whose inalienable right is to immigrate to America.

I'm not sure if you misread "Association" as "Assassination" or if you're just an idiot.

Quote:
The Lincoln Association Jersey City will celebrate the 152nd anniversary of its founding at the annual tribute to Abraham Lincoln on his birthday, Sunday, February 12, 2017.

...

The Lincoln Association is the oldest continuously operating group in the United States honoring Lincoln. It was formed shortly after Lincoln?s assassination in 1865 and then has held a banquet in Jersey City every year on his birthday, February 12. Over the decades many figures of national importance have addressed the Association including people from the military and political worlds, historians, educators and civil rights leaders.

I'm sure it's a done deal, between this project and the LSC proposal. But as many have noted, many of the new residents will use the Light Rail station steps away-the HBLR will need to figure out how to handle the influx.

Hell, maybe the developer agreed to pay for the extension in exchange for zoning?

Justice Department advised not to defend Trump?s travel ban
By Daniel Halper January 30, 2017 | 6:59pm |

In an extraordinary move, Acting Attorney General Sally Yates has ordered Justice Department lawyers not to defend President Trump?s executive order blocking immigrants from seven mostly Muslim countries.

?I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution?s solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right,? Yates said in an email to lawyers of the Civil Division on Monday.

?At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful,? she added.

Sally Yates has just been fired by Trump.

That was a foregone conclusion. She was a goner anyway. Trump to Yates: You're fired!

They've aren't barred from entering the country. They just need to get vetted again. This is narrowly tailored only to green card holders from very problematic countries.

It's an extra inconvenience for them, but they'll get through.

They are barred from entering the country until they get vetted. That can take months. Trump pulled out a cannon to shoot a fly here. He should focus on applicants, not resident aliens.
