Or the Dan Levin ad which tells how he... what exactly has he done again?

He has been involved with the Harsimus Cove Association, Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy, Civic JC and Bike JC and deserves credit for all of those organization's accomplishments. The one closest to me is the Landmarks Conservancy, because I served on the board and as President for 3 years. Dan's contributions were invaluable.

I can understand criticizing Dan for running with Healy. I can't understand pretending that the man has not had significant positive involvement in Jersey City affairs.

If Dan is still Dan, then I guess I never knew Dan Levin. The Dan that I know and respected would never work to re-elect Healy. Any informed and reasonable Jersey City resident (even you, crazyforjc) knows that Healy was up to his elbows in corruption. Operation Bid Rig provided tangible evidence. Healy is still the same person now as he was then, despite the efforts to repair his image.

Dan has been active in the community for years, and has accomplished some great things. I've heard that he's thinking about separating from the Healy ticket. If and only if Dan dumps Healy, then Dan is still Dan.

The reval is not complete, no one has had their assessment changed. If you want a guess as to the future taxes, I'd guess it'll be 2% of value, +- 0.5%. Right now taxes range from 1-3% of value. If anyone's paying more or less chime in.

Your guess will be right on for a handful and wildly inaccurate for the majority. That's my assessment of your guess.

I've had good luck in the past at Summit. That reminds me, time for a tune-up/oil change!

End of discussion.

In the past six months, aware that defeat could be a reality, the Healy administration has returned to the old campaign playbook, a two-pronged attack. The first is to make this as negative a campaign as possible to make this election distasteful enough so residents will shun the voting booths, allowing the mayor's base of municipal workers/supporters and their families to carry him to another low-voter victory, or at least a runoff.

We can see that right here on JCLIST! The trolls that back the mayor are coming out of the woodwork. It seems that the intention is to make this mayoral/council race appear so skanky that it turns off the casual voter.

Why not just go to Home Depot and rent a carpet cleaning machine for half a day? It's easy, inexpensive and I can't see how your landlord can object.

Taq dt is looking at about two weeks for reopening. Taq LES has recently added four new tacos that will be added to the menu here as well. Suadero, Cabeza, Lengua, and Buche (flank, head, tongue, and stomach). Taq DT will also now have our fresh squeezed lime Margaritas, Micheladas, as well as our bloody marys and mimosas for brunch. Also will be serving chips and guacamole. Look for grand reopening soon in local papers. Gracias!

Can't wait! This is good news. Gracias!!!!!!

Others may prefer Komegashi I or II. My favorite is Honshu, on Montgomery Street. And the Honshu roll is the best!

You people are all assholes.

You are basically #OOPS#ing over the tenant who presumably found a slightly less over priced rental unit.

Congratulations on being the worst neighbors ever.

The woman mentioned in this article nearly paid with her life for for a "less over priced rental unit."

Jersey City woman rushed to hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning; landlord likely to face fines for 'illegal' units
Published: Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 3:00 AM
By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal

A WOMAN was rushed to the hospital yesterday with carbon monoxide poisoning at 101-103 Magnolia Ave. in Jersey City. Firefights say they found three illegal units in a basement at the two, six-unit buildings. Here, the owner of the buildings, right, talks with authorities.
A Jersey City woman was rushed to a hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning yesterday afternoon and officials later shut down all hot water heaters at her address and in a second building, officials said.
When firefighters responded to the two, six-unit buildings at 101-103 Magnolia Ave., they found three illegal units in a basement, Fire Director Armando Roman said.
Responding Public Service Electric & Gas workers inspected the buildings and shut down the water heaters, Roman said.
The woman who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center and she was expected to be OK, Roman said.
The owner, who lives in one of the buildings, will likely face fines regarding the illegal apartments, Roman said.

How is the illegal apartment affecting your way of life?

if it isn't then you should mind your own business. If the tenants are disturbing you, you should go ahead and report.

If there are unsafe conditions - carbon monoxide or fire/electrical hazard someone's life could be at risk. Do the right thing and report it to the fire dept.

I called Secaucus for a price quote last week for teeth cleaning on my 100 pound dog and 7 pound cat. I was told it's the same, $754 for each. After reading this forum I was able to locate my animals' old vet, Dr. Thorton-now Dr. Fede-at the Edison Animal Hospital and we drove down to see her this past Tuesday. I don't know who was happier to see her, my pets or me.

$754 for each? You can get teeth cleanings for less than that.
