Re: JCIA Garbage Men Tried to Shake Down "Pint" Owner for Booze

Considering the amount of trash some business puts out and it gets picked up for free, I'm not surprised one bit.

This has been happening when Waste Management had the city contract, and the new company guys do it as well. Paying the guys is cheaper than hiring your own contractor.

Nj.com says there were 3 planes and they have photos from the flyover.

I heard them heading towards NYC but couldn't make out what it was, 3 mins later they turned around and flew towards Newark and was able to see 2 jets, could've been three. Don't know what they were doing, since I didn't read anything about a flyby.

Yes, I saw that same car maybe 2 months ago driving around by Mallory Ave. It did have a computer inside to catch plates.
I believe it was a Daewoo, I took a pic of it just incase it was someone up to something in the area. I'll have to take a look at the pic again to see exactly the make.

It is a Daewoo and the one I saw had the computer on. If its white then its the same one. I was looking out my window and saw it drive by, so I wasn't able to take a photo.

Happen to see a White late model Hyundai Sonata (could be a Daewoo) driving around with two cameras on the trunk.

Its the same setup found on an NYPD Cruiser. http://www.vosizneias.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/rd4.jpg

Did the city contract out parking enforcements or is this part of the Federal program?

http://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-spies ... llions-of-cars-1422314779

Anyone come across this car?

Instead of complaining about the postal trucks taking up space why not do something about all those cars with "official business city of jersey city" placards that takes up meter parking on Montgomery.

Had a knock this evening from a lady wearing a blue polo working for SFE Energy asking to look at my bill to see if I qualify for a lower rate. I refused to show my bill and let her out. Anyone else have sales rep from this company knocking?

Musk tapped into the Apple fanboys and he thinks he can do what he wants. As a consumer I want to be able to save money and I can only save money if there is competition. I'm not a fan of Christie, but this is the right call.

I tried this place two times and its okay. I tried their duck fried rice (okay, nothing special) Singapore Chow Fun (good) , Chicken wings with chicken fried rice (small wings and okay rice), shrimp with broccoli (very small portions) . and chicken double cooked style (lot of sauce not enough chicken).

If anyone plans ordering from here make sure you call them and place the order. The online prices are on the higher end.

Little Caesars is good if you can get a pie right from the oven. if it has been staying in the warming oven, it's horrible. I went to the central ave loc two times and this were my results.

Its one thing to walk on the road when the sidewalk is covered in snow and ice. It's a another to be walking with a bike on such a busy highway.

Hopefully the Court will make it legal for a law biding citizen to carry in NJ. I also want the court to do away with the process one has to go through to get a handgun (which you cant take outside your home). I will not write an essay to the chief of police to get a handgun permit.. This is goes against my constitutional right to bear arms.

Fulop is doing the same, just in downtown though. Was driving on Washington the JCIA and PD were moving around a bunch of dump trucks and a heavy loader . I think they were dumping snow at the end of 6th st.

I took a drive downtown to see whats up late this evening. CC leading up to the Hyatt becomes one lane and you have 5 marked cruisers parked right after Greene st stopping cars. I'm all for safety, but taking numerous units off duty for such detail is a bit too much, considering we've parts of the city which could use better police presence . (The Journal had a piece about citizen of greenville are in fear after 5 shooting in a week) There was also a big police presence over at the Westin and here too, the resources could be better used. It's not like the NFL or the State cant provide security.

Fulop and the JCPD should worry about the safety of its citizens first, than two football teams.

I have done busines at Hudson Toyota (numerous times, personally and with others) an have no real complaints about them.

Do your research before you go in and you'll be fine.

I will say I was not impressed with Hudson Nissan, but this was in early 2000's and I'm sure the people working then are no longer there.
