Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Have had my car detailed at my apt at Portside twice now by an
individual who comes with everything needed for a complete on-site detail inside & out. I am a bit crazy about my car since it is black & always looks dirty but he does such a fantastic job I just had to mention it here.

Re: 7 Handicap placards in cars on 1 block?

The building next to it has there own parking lot for residents.
The cars with the placards don't have to pay the meters according to a friend of mine who has one & he never gets a ticket for it.

I was in traffic court last month & the only way you get a ticket for a handicap placard is if the ticket person doesn't see it.
They still dismissed the tickets if you presented the placard.

Just seems unfair & a loss of much money to a city that really needs the cash.

Sure it's true. I lived in front of a construction site for 3 yrs downtown & we used to watch the cops working or should I say talking on there phones, eating and always arriving late & leaving early. Even the construction workers would tell us stories & were always complaining about it being a city scam.

7 Handicap placards in cars on 1 block?

Just can't stay away

Couldn't help but notice as I walked on just 1 side of the street between Montgomery & Greene street 7 handicap placards all parked at meter spots & 3 on Greene between CC & Montgomery.

Seems a little excessive to me.

Gonna start to look now around there & see how many more & if they even move.

Understand some people really need them but that just seems crazy especially when they don't even have to put $$ in the meter.

2 Students Arrested at St Peters Prep

Just can't stay away

2 students were arrested yesterday during school for allegedly stealing a ladies pocketbook in front of the school to get some money for lunch. Not sure of any other details except that they must be 13-14 years old since 7th graders are the only ones in the school now attending the summer program.

Like everything else that gets done in LSP, a joke.
I think the idea was to build a wall so you can't see where the WTC was. What a major waste of $$$$$$ and you rarely ever see them working on it. Probably will be finished for the 20th anniversary at this rate.

First off, Traffic court is at 5pm. If you go to fight it and have your permit with you they will most likely throw the ticket out but your going to have to pay a court fee of up to $33. Sometimes they reduce that slightly but bottom line is it's gonna cost you something besides your time.

You will be truly entertained by other peoples cases that's for sure.
I sat in recently and had to contain myself from laughing out loud with what people do & say.

Good luck.

What's with all the noise by Bay Street? It's worse now then ever.
I know they have been working on the retail project at 140 Bay street ( Crazy huh?) but I don't see where there working now.

Anybody know what the deal is? It is super loud & non-stop.
The Warehouse Coffee Shop must be beside themselves with all the noise & now forget about sitting outside.

Cops are out all over today. Wednesday is a non sweeping day so usually they do pick up the slack but this is crazy.
I thought Obama was in JC with so many cops on corners and crusing around but maybe it is for the bodaga buses?

Too funny. I saw that NJ Transit bus & had a hard time making a turn because of it. Was very surprised no one was a the wheel too.
JCPD usually drives right past that stuff too even though like the pictures they park on the corners all the time.

Good luck with that. They are clueless about what to clean or not.
Sweeper never cleans Morgan Street between Marin and Warren?
Go figure.......

You can also park all day & night on north side of Morgan street
because there are no signs so ticket cart doesn't even look except if you are near the corner. Trump residents & commuters park there all the time.

JC Main Post Office Problems, as usual......
#80
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Such a joke, I had Priority Packages waiting for pick-up for 2 days & then got an e-mail with a confirmation # that it was picked up.
Problem was they were never picked up just scanned.
Talked with USPS who said that shouldn't have happened & to call local postal carrier supervisor. As usual no one ever picks up phone at main PO so went there & supervisor was too busy to speak with me. Dropped off packages myself. No one cares over there at all.
My point to them was why confirm a pick-up when it wasn't picked up at all? Honestly that is the worst PO I have ever been too and have to go there way too often as it is with mail & certified letters that are never left and never check to see if I even at home.

My advise is to avoid that place if ever possible.

That is so funny. I have been telling people trump has a disco on the roof now. The lights change every 2 seconds and I have seen them still on in the early morning. Not sure they ever turn them off.
Seriously need to turn them to one color or slow down the whole lighting control. Looks very Tacky.......

Sure your right about 2 different departments but thats not the way it gets done in the Park. 1 Super rules the entire park.
Federal, City, whatever, that's the real world....

Don't expect to see any high profile events in the park anymore because that's the way they want it.

Truth be told, the reason why very few events are being done in LSP & Ellis Island is because of the new Park superintendent David. He has implemented so many changes for events that both clients & vendors find too costly.....

They need to fix the entrance from the light rail into the park. No directional signs either. People ask me all the time where the park & LSC are.
