Jersey City ? Mayor Steven M. Fulop, New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way and representatives from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), are asking Jersey City residents to share why they count at a kickoff event to mark one year until the 2020 Census. As we start the countdown toward the 2020 Census, the City will unveil a life-sized chalkboard installation outside of City Hall on Monday, April 1, at 9:30am that asks the community to fill in why they count.

The City of Jersey City honored Veterans Saturday, November 10th, 2018 with its Annual Veterans Day Parade.

Jersey City?s Veterans Day Parade has grown larger each year and parade goers lined the parade route as the many contingents marched, which included Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, a former US. Marine who saw action in the first gulf war and Councilmen Daniel Rivera and Richard Boggiano also former Marines.

Hudson County Community College Announces Spring 2018 Full Time Dean's List

JERSEY CITY, N.J. / October 2, 2018 ? Hudson County Community College announced that 521 full-time students were eligible for the Dean?s List for the Spring 2018 semester.

Full-time degree students who have completed all Academic Foundations and ESL courses and have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and no ?F? grades in the current semester are eligible for the Dean?s List.

Mayor Steven M. Fulop announces five ?parklets? being installed around the City in an effort to create more public space and enhance the pedestrian experience. The five parklets are mini-parks which will temporarily turn a standard parking space into a place for the public to enjoy with seating, landscaping, lighting, art and more.

Before retiring in September 2017, La Rosa facilitated programs that helped local visual and performing artists.
