What would you ask of the people?

So you want to do the right thing. But in this city, the right thing means carry your trash to your house.

There is no reason for having no trash cans in the corner. And I mean absolutely none. That is rediculus, and they are clearly present in nearby cities.

As far a lightrails. What are people supposed to do? Hold their trash till they get outside? Lightrails (and PATH, etc) should have mini cans in the train. Works in other parts of the world, why not here?

I gotta say, you have to love this guy.

There is no better way to get through this. He admitted his fault and even said he supported Christie for governor (who ran the whole bust as US attorney) and said he wasnt mad at Dwek.

It's funny to see him so open, but its much better than him closing the door on everyone and acting like nothing happened.

Unfortunate thing is, i see him running for office once he gets out.

I know the prices probably wont be cheap, but it will bring more competition to JC which is good.

I had good hopes for JC, but after seeing "Google, Kansas" and a Mayor jumping into water; compared to us just asking people to nominate. Doubt it. For the spirit of Google, i nominate to throw our mayor into the Hudson.

This guy is a shame.

He probably got mad that Healy didn't give him a car, so he felt he was entitled to a rental. lol

I really enjoyed some of the questioning last night - especially Teresa Patterson asking Gaughan and Flood about their nepots on the MUA and JCIA boards followed by the comment about talking to Willie while she's driving around the neighborhood in her city car on Sundays. The gloves are off.

Yea, i don't know how she could look Teresa in the face and say she doesn't use that car. When your busted, just come clean. I guess the only correction might be that it's not a city car, its county, i think. Same difference, tax dollars.

We should really start taking pictures of our elected representatives and our vehicles.

Yea I found it really nasty the way Flood "answered" to voters this meeting. It took her practically 5 min and a talk with her pals to say "Mr. Fulop is not here".

Turnout wasn't great but I still liked it, because I felt the people actually talked and not yelled. I thought that would have meant something to them, but it didn't.

I wanted to get up and punch "corporate council" in the face for trying to trick Richardson. I'm surprised she caved in. Too bad Fulop wasn't there then. I wanted to correct everyone who was against Richardson, but public speaking was over.

The guy clearly stated that there was currently no ordinance in place stating that they should get benefits. Therefore Sottolano was not only wrong, he lied. If there was no ordinance in place, voting this down means that there remains no ordinance in place. That guy from the corp council has got to be a lawyer cause he worked his way the hell out of that one.

I woudn't say it was dangerious, actually fun since there is hardly anyone around. But like JC_man said, the area around the bridge you have to watch out. If someone was hiding out there, there is no other person or car in sight for quite a distance.

He's wrong here.

"Democratically" it makes no sence to keep introducing it when it clearly has no votes. It will be a waste of time. I am not saying that that I don't support those ordinances, but we have to accept it. Eventually, once you can reassure more votes, you can put it back on, but you can't just keep doing it for fun.

Its their way of sticking it to Fulop and to us.

Fulop started this with the cars. He argued that they can't be 24hr on call and part time. So bing bang boom, they will become full time.

Here is what I don't understand. I was watching the Caucus meeting and when Fulop introduces the slogan on the city owned vehicles Richardson got all defensive and said "thats fine" "i have no problem with that" "i don't care". She was the loudest about it. Fulop originally proposed that the cars have 6 in worth of writing. Richardson said "why cant the cars look like all the other city cars?" (basically with an emblem and smaller writing, Fulop didn't really have a problem with that).

So, Counsilwoman Richardson, why can't the cars look like all the other city cars? Because you voted against it.

Don't want to ruin anyone's opinion of the place, I personally have gone there dozens of time and only loved the food and service, but just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

Two people I know have gone there and both have gotten sick to the point of having to leave work the next day. 2 days ago, I guess.

Again, don't want to ruin anyone's opinion of them, I will certainly go there again, but if anyone else has gotten sick lately, it might be from there.

Although I have never been on unemployment, from people around me, I know the process is too easy. After all, you are getting money, you have nothing else to do, it should be harder than filling out a simple form and calling in once in a while and speaking to a machine where you press the same digits each time.

I have a friend who has been on unemployment for about a month over a year now. Each time he says he will start looking, he gets money in the mail, so why look for work.

Interesting vote of Flood about the cars. But I guess she doesn't care because she has a county car.

In either case, this article made me realize a few things. Even if the JC1TV passed we would face 2 issues.
1. Most likely we would only see what is seen on the big screen. Kinda lame since the crowds wont be seen. It will look boring I think.
2. As lame as JC1TV is now, it does have a schedule. If it did broadcast these meetings, and it runs for 3-5 hours and next week only and hour or so. There really can't be an official time for it then. Thats why I think online broadcasts are the only way to go.

We really need an actual news broadcast on JC1TV.

The whole thing was awesome. Apart from a bunch of kids who left after a half hour, it was great.

I just left, and it was like the last person speaking. Don't know when the actual meeting will end, it got too tired.

What was up with the people who started talking about how they are raised and how their kids are and Obama and stupid stuff. What a waste.

Anyway, i hope someone has a pic of Vega's face when everyone booed for him.

I would hope Walgreens changes the name and everything. 24hrs is a really cool thing, but the franchise owners might not agree to it.

I really like Walgreens because of the 1 hour photo, but going to the Blvd each time isn't fun. Would be nice if they added one here.
