I hear Ivanka wants to be the Slovenian Ambassador !!!

Trump is playing everyone as a fool - Trump didn't ban muslims, he banned people from certain countries from entering the US as does many other nations that put bans of citizens from certain countries.
Also the crap I'm hearing about Trump sacking all the Ambassadors ... what crap, the Ambassadors all have to file their resignations when there is a new President with the new President having the option to re-instate them. Trump really is full of siht.

Do I recall some JClisters disputing the problem / dangers of distracted motorists on cellphones and the like ... you need 100% concentration when driving a car, that means no cellphones, coffee, food or even earphones with music playing. Driving is a privilege not a right and you have a duty of care to other road users ... especially pedestrians and cyclists.
This ass should spend time in prison as does the passenger for driving off and not providing assistance

At least it wasn't some neighbor or passer-by getting attacked - I'm sure the son will say it was a gentle giant of a dog, well cared for and trained ... My mother was a caring and nurturing dog lover ... I suspect we won't hear a story that the person provoked it or did something to cause the attack and death ... Let's hope the shelter isn't somehow wrangled in for a law suit because the dog shouldn't have been adopted out !

By giving abatements, the city is not giving themselves enough (if any) capital to improve the necessary infrastructure to these projects .... sewers, water, storm water, parking, roads, side walks etc, that will all need to be updated to handle the increased loads. All that appears to happen is the taxes goes up, and we ALL directly are paying for these infrastructure issues and subsidizing the developers.
In the case of sewer and storm water flooding, the city has done very little and we have the recurring problem every year.

With the number of civilians killed by the U.S over the years, I'm surprised more nations don't ban us instead ... or is that just 'collateral damage' and any 'pay-back' from victims isn't justified !!! The U.S needs to take a good hard look at ourselves and ask what motives terrorism ...
It was all once about communism as being the threat, but in recent times most of the nations we have engaged in have been muslim (oil rich) nations with extremely high civilian casualties and our so-called 'smart bomb' and 'strategic targeting' have been everything but ! Now that we produce more oil of our own, why are our gas prices still high and not cheaper ? Try the above and I think home depot has similar super glue removers. Another annoying activity by local knuckleheads is when they get dog poo and paste it around car door handles at night and around restaurants ... Near my neck of the woods, they would target the passenger side door handles so unsuspecting (more often women) passengers would get a handful of poo ... for a while these kids would target dog owners who didn't pick-up after their dogs, and I suspect via the guidance of their parents !

Another cause to the crazy rental prices and high density multi-level inner city developments is public transport. Who in their right mind wants to be squashed into a path train or sardined into a bus to get to Manhattan?
If public transport was greatly improved and modernised with more options across the Hudson, be it under or over it then expect crazy sale and rental prices bordering the Hudson and Manhattan and any side of it. If public transport was 'gentrified' too, and it was 'comfortable' for a 1 hour commute, we would have more affordable housing in our outer suburbs and people would have better options to housing. Basically, our city planners are suffering from tunnel vision to only accommodate the wants of developers and not the end users ... once again it's our politicians that are failing us and often enough, we hear how they get financial kick-backs from the same!

How can any city be welcoming to immigrants or refugees if TRUMP doesn't allow them in the country.
I too could open my home to Syrian refugees, knowing TRUMP will not let them in the country ... It all sounds like a flaky meaningless statement to get some humanitarian points ... I'd like to see Fulop make a much stronger objection to the issue and 'shirt-front' (media statement) TRUMP if he's truly serious.

Corporate America must be rubbing their hands together - Instead of buying politicians to benefit their own needs and greed, they can invest in their own CEO's to run for presidency .... Trump did it, why can't we they might ask?
With the Military and Walmart being the 2 largest employers in the US, either could promote an officer or CEO and get a huge voting pool to vote for them ! The US has progressed to being the ugliest capitalist nation on the planet. Democracy has been manipulated until it has imploded via the two party strangle-hold ... both the democrat and republican parties should be dismantled and we have more variety in politics ... it's if we have the NBA only having two teams to follow that have all the resources, and the general public needs to make a choice .... eventually we get sick of it by leaving, or picking the worst option to shake things up!

Trump isn't a democrat or republican, he just needed a party platform the get elected on. I think that's why there is so much negative discourse and it's more to do with his actions and behavior then the political party he represents.
I can't think of any other person that was elected causing so much disharmony and protest within a nation they are about to govern - Trump is a 'pig' no doubt, but there was no other choice, other then Bernie who got shafted by an egotistical women and the party hierarchy / power brokers they represented. I don't for one minute think Trump gives a siht about the republician party whom he is supposed to represent - Trump is a sociopath who's only goal is promoting and benefiting himself and only by chance, might benefit this nation.
