I can't think of any city in which the area surrounding the main bus or train terminal would be considered a desirable place to live.

I think its a shame one of those teens wasn't carrying a gun. That poor kid might be alive today.

It makes sense to choose someone who has had a good deal of public support.
How about someone who has been elected twice?
I'm thinking of Carol Lester. What do you say to that?

That doesn't seem right. Somebody needs to look into that .

John Dineen, 63, is listed as living in Harrington Park, NJ. He is a partner in the law firm of Netchert Dineen And Hillman. Netchert is, I believe the husband of our County Clerk.
I'm sure John Jr. is well represented.

Last name is the same as that on a law office up by the county court house. I had the impression at the time that there was a connection.

Actually, it sounds to me like they expected your actual address to be the one listed on your driver's license.
When I moved out of NYC, I found that I could get a library card for the NYC library, but since I wasn't a resident, I had to prove that I worked in NY, and provide them with my previous year's tax return, showing I paid city taxes.
I don't think I provided the Jersey City Library with anything but my NJ driver's license when I got a card here, but of course, but of course it confirms me as a resident.
The library has been an important resource to the community over the years. It is quite well used, and I've always found the staff helpful.

Well, our population is about 250,00. So unless a majority of us leave, I expect there will be hundreds of thousands of people in Jersey City.

Bret Schundler called Christie out as a liar years ago, and he proved it. That got Schundler fired. Somehow, people seem to have forgotten that.

Yes, and the Port Authority is an independent agency in charge of the bridge.
Why would Christie want to create a huge traffic jam?
Why would Christie purposely lose Federal money for New Jersey education with the Race To The Top program?
Why would Christie turn down Federal Transportation Money for the ARC Tunnel?

Everyone seems so eager to blame this on Fulop, at the same time we learn exactly what Christie did to the mayor of Fort Lee with the GW Bridge lane closures.
Think maybe the legislation would have passed had Fulop endorsed Christie?
Has everyone for gotten Brett Schundler's experience working for Christie and the Race to the Top education funding?
It's a pattern, folks.
It's not Fulop's fault. I'm glad he is shining a light on this petty tit-for-tat by the State, carried on at our expense.

Part of the problem is with the Federal mandates of "No Child Left Behind," something that Fulop (or the BoE) can do nothing about.
