Been here a few times. Had moderate hopes...didn't like all the bashing...some of the stuff is true.

The owner really should read some of this stuff. Last time i was there, about 10 days ago, i could easily see him berating his waitstaff and frantically running around the dining floor with an angry scowl on his face. This was an early dinner. They also removed the lamb chops from the menu, which were really, really good.

Some of the Yelp reviews are ridiculous. If you want a Park Tavern burger, go to Park Tavern.

What? You had nothing to complain about? How about the smell? the way they greeted you? Maybe it was the silverware or the hovering waiter or the music or the lighting? I'm sure they didn't get your "rare-plus" request right. The seasoning couldn't have been perfect. Surely you could find something to complain about. Please revise and complain so that we know this is a real review and that your opinion really matters...your community depends on it.

What about 270 Grand St., where the bagel shop used to be? I'd heard that the guy who owns Two Aprons on Warren St. was opening a second place there. Anyone know if that's still the case?

In May, the owner of Two Aprons said the new place would open in about a month. It's now almost 6 months later, so who knows what happened.

Not sure what's happening but they painted most of the exterior this past week. Seems like it's still on but moving very slowly for whatever reason.

I meant grand, not grove. If it's a resale they prob won't have to deal with PM. Mgmt co is fine and the maintenance fee is very low. could the mgmt be better, yeah, but they could also be a lot worse and maintenance could be a lot higher.

garden level businesses and apartments were flooded during Sandy. businesses on Grove were very badly damaged. i don't think there are many garden level apartments, but there may be a few on Tidewater, Liberty View, and the other streets leading up to Regent.

aside from losing electricity, no other issues.

i don't think i'd buy a garden or ground level apartment anywhere in JC.

I also like how the article about Liberty Harbor doesn't mention who actually wrote the article. Great cowardly journalism!

I think it'd be a good idea for Brian Dowling to give his new place on York Street a different name, for marketing purposes. Why name a place that's half a mile away the same exact thing? The place deserves it's own identity! Not to mention that it's confusing for customers. I feel the same way about White Star renaming Harbor Casino, White Star. Unless you're trying to start a chain restaurant, I don't understand naming bars/eateries the same thing, so close to one another geographically.

That being said, love Park and Sixth!

There are plenty of non-chain restos that do this. Some of them quite renowned. Smart from a marketing and branding perspective.

If she lives hours away and you take her to court, and your claims are not frivolous, then that may be enough for her to come to some sort of arrangement with you. I'm not sure how many appearances might be required for such a matter, but anyone who is hours away will likely not be thrilled about having to ruin an entire day over something that might actually have some basis.

Have to agree with tommyc_37. No more than 15 minutes elapses from the time I step on the Path train at Grove to the time I step off the Path train at 14th St.

I've never gotten to 14th Street in more than 15 minutes, unless there was a rare massive problem like police activity or something.

Just had a meal at this place. Sampled the rack of lamb, burger, salmon tartare and bistro salad. All dishes were excellent. I can honestly say this is one of the better meals I've had in Downtown JC in a while. Prices arr very reasonable and the portions were generous. Great addition.

You hit the nail right on the head. If it ain't Free, Cheap, over the top c/s they don't want to pay for. I would love to see how good these people are at their jobs. You have one poster who if he can't make it, grow it, avoid doing business with a store, he isn't happy. Then you have the people who criticize how stores are run, yet they are incapable of doing it them selves.

+1 the idiotic drivel spouted on this board is becoming less and less entertaining. These are the same a-holes who have awarded themselves expert authority status on any variety of topics and therefore feel obligated and entitled to damage businesses by leaving 1 star reviews on Yelp b/c their service was slightly slow, or the drink was $1 more than they expected, or the crowd wasn't as cool as they think they are, or the coffee wasn't strong enough, or their delivery took 45 minutes instead of 20 minutes... Hooray - let's bash small businesses!

Sheldon Margolis. He was a zealous advocate, priced very reasonably, highly professional and responsive, extremely hoest, and generally very entertaining to be around. Not sure you can ask too much more of a lawyer. http://www.sheldonmargolis.com/

Just realized I posted his info earlier. Guess I was really happ with him.
