The place is definitely infested with some kind of funk. I did a walk around and have never smelled a gym so nasty. It's a potent mix of mold and b.o.

It's the cheapest gym for a reason.

Jersey city should eliminate all low income housing. Market rates for everyone but seniors.

Pricing out the scum is the only way to keep this city clean.

Low income housing should be a market force. Let them move to Newark if they want a cheap place to live.

The OP made it sound like the the 7th Street station was moving too.

What a bunch of rude jerks on this site. No wonder living in Jersey City sucks with neighbors like the posters on here.

Is there going to be no police station downtown?

We need a place that you can physically go to when there is a problem and always get a cop. If you are mugged of your cellphone, what are you supposed to do? Go all the way to Journal Square to report it?

There should be at least two real police stations downtown, one near Hamilton Park and one near Grove Street.

The only people who should be riding their bikes in the streets are spandex-clad, hardcore cyclists who can keep up with traffic.

If you're not going the same speed as traffic you're a hazard to everyone on the road.

If they are Moishe's employees, contact Moishe's and tell them that their employees are doing illegal things and being bad neighbors. Give them all the details and let them know that you will be taking the issue to the media if they do not help put an end to it.

I saw like 10 cops on 6th arresting some kid and talking to a 20-something business guy that had just been mugged on 6th. I assume it was the same incident.

Kudos to the police for catching the guy right away.

Either the newspaper got the address wrong, or there was also another mugging the same night on 6th between Jersey and Erie involving a gun, to which the cops responded swiftly.

There's a guy that goes around with a shopping cart picking up trash and pulling down posters. Is that you, vigilante?

It's good that someone does that, because otherwise our poles and trees would be layered with countless "man with van" and "we buy junk cars" junk flyers.

However it would be good to have a large community board somewhere in hamilton park where locals can put up their personal flyers and not have them taken down aside from scheduled cleanings.
