They should be put to work cleaning the roads, hired out for cheap farm labor, etc..

Should we legalize prostitution as well? I'm sure that would add to the tax chauffeurs.

I want them to start slashing the taxes but to give a perspective of what he is proposing....2.1% of $12,000 is only $252. We need 10-20% cut. What's even more funny about this is that the beginning of the year I got a notice that my taxes went $210 a month. It's such a joke.
I pay all this and send my kids to private school on top of this.
Then again I don't ever plan on leaving.

No, there are bad people in this world and they will do bad things. I will will run away if given the chance but if no other option is left I would use force.

When I lived in PA I had a CCW permit, did I have it on me at all times? No but there were times I did. The same would be here.

I'll take my chances, I'd rather I fight for my life then wait for the cops to show up. I look forward to the day the courts rule for ccw.

Capitalism works.

I hate communists. God gave you a brain and hands to work, put them to use. There is no right to live where you want unless you can afford it. Sure I wish I had a Range Rover but you know what I can't afford it.

Gentrification is great and it's great for Jersey City.

Saigon Caf?- Amazing food- Expensive- never got why its not more crowded? But then again I only go once a year or so. Quiet, dark.
Porto- Nice Tapa?s, that?s all I had. Nice layout
Liberty House- Best views in JC and the food is really nice.
The Point- Not sure if this place is still around, it?s a trip to get there, it?s in Porte Liberty, great view and food.
White Star- Nice local Pub food- reasonable.
Madam Claude- Love the atmosphere, Pate, hanger steak, etc.. Nice Date night place.
Wild Fusion- Comfort Asian Food. I think this is a better take out place.
Thanh Hoai- Just great inexpensive Vietnamese food. Can get very crowded
GP?s- Great season menu, LOVE this place.
Light Horse- Old World Bar that is new. Beautifully place, a little pricey.
Park & Sixth- Cool place to have food.
Taqueria- Best taco?s anywhere.

I would rather die fighting to protect myself then have an armed group take me. I don't see how insulting the comparison is. I bet if all those poor souls that lost their life to the nazi were able to defend themselves they would choose the fight.

If I had his money I would do the same but I wish it was someone from here that wants to be here for the long haul, who only wants to make the area better.

I really hope they do the right thing for our neighborhood.

If that is how it was originally then you won't have a problem but if they were that way then your out of luck. Dan is a complete "tool".

I think he's on better behavior with the new administration. You should go down and meet with him and discuss your intentions. He should tell you exactly what you need to do and how to do it.

So I stopped in the other night for drinks and dinner. The menu looked good, not overly priced and the happy hour specials looked good. I sat at the bar while I waited for my wife to show up. The place looked really nice and I though how nice it was to have a place right outside the Path Station.
I ordered a beer, the sign outside saying happy hour ?$3?s all craft beers?, my wife shows up I asked to close my tab and I get a $16 tab for 2 beers. I asked what the deal was and the barman said the happy hour special was for a smaller glass?!? I did end up having diner there which was very nice but I was fuming the entire dinner thinking how they tricked me. I don?t think I will ever go back.

Re: 400 Unit Development in Hamilton Park
#86

Just can't stay away

I should expand on what I wrote earlier. I am completely for building wherever possible without a density requirement. It?s only going to make all our properties more valuable but there are concerns that we all have.

The impact on the services here should not be the developers problem. These developers/condo buyers even with the tax abatements still pay huge amounts of taxes to the city. The city should takes the taxes from this new development and throw that into the rebuilding of the city?s infrastructure. Silverman has done a great job in balancing both architecturally pleasing and neighborhood appropriate buildings. What I am against are buildings that are not architecturally pleasing or built to stand the test of time.

As this city grows so will the jobs that will stay in this city and not everyone will be traveling to NYC. If you look at all the long term projections of this metro area, we are going to grow, there is no stopping it. Our local, state and federal governments? have to look at how to improve the impacts that will certainly follow.

Build, build and build some more!! I just want well built aesthetically pleasing buildings. The restaurants, schools, etc.. will only get better with the professionals that will move in.

I am very disappointed that Fulop without skipping a beat is already edging his way into the national level. I wish he would just focus on JC and the city I know he can make it be. I voted for him but not his ridiculous liberal friends.
