Re: Nobody’s Above the Law - Mueller Firing Rapid Response

Mike Flynn, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, George Papadapolous.

Nothingburger lol. It's amazing how every conservative gets their talking points and lingo from FOX all at the same time. Somehow 4 people already are charged for this "nothingburger" and conservatives are freaking out trying to shut down the investigation and saying that the FBI of all organizations is liberal.

I also like seeing the evolution of conservative talking points.

We have never talked to any Russians and we didn't collude.

OK we talked to some but it was just in passing.

OK we set up some private meetings with them but we only talked about adoptions.

OK maybe we talked to Russians because they promised us dirt on Clinton, but they didn't have it.

Alright well, we did get some private keys to access the emails, but it was totally unrelated.

Oh, and even if we did collude, which we totally didn't, I promise you it's not illegal to collude with foreign governments.

Also, please ignore the fact that the former president told us not to hire Flynn because he couldn't be trusted, and the Attorney General said not to hire him because he was a target for bribery and corruption. Please ignore the fact that we hired him anyway, and fired the AG for warning us against hiring him.

I promise we didn't know he was up to anything shady, like taking money from Russia and Turkey to try kidnapping American residents. I fired him for lying to Pence. Actually I fired him for lying to the FBI. Even though I hate the FBI. The organization that I asked to stop investigating the corrupt guy I just fired. Oh yeah, and I fired the head of the FBI because he wouldn't stop investigating me and that corrupt guy working for foreign governments. Because we're totally innocent and this is a nothingburger.

Also I hope everyone forgets that another staffer of mine is being charged with lying to the FBI for trying to set up meetings with the Russians. And another couple guys are being charged because they worked with Russia to stage rebellions in Ukraine, and has laundered so much money for Russians that his own daughters won't talk to him because they know he has blood on his hands.

If I say it's a nothingburger enough times will you believe me that there's nothing shady going on? Please???

Sounds like Mueller should be fired. And virtually his entire nothing burger Rooskie crack team are all Hillary supporters, and they haven't found a single thing approaching collusion.

Sounds like Mueller should be fired for incompetence and slanted prosecution. He won't be, but he's disgraced himself and the FBI.
Good god you need to stop drinking the Kool Aid. Four people from Trump's campaign are already charged and will be going to jail. If Trump is so innocent why is every conservative freaking out about this investigation so much? Why is it that everybody on the Trump team is constantly lying about everything? For a bunch of super innocent people, they're sure acting really guilty. How many times has Kushner had to amend his security clearance form now after being caught lying about things?

It's incredible confusing having to take a really wide swing like that, and I think it was irresponsible of the city to paint it without putting up stanchions or a divider of some kind. You're right that someone is going to get into a head-on collision soon. I imagine they did it to reduce the speed of people going down Newark Ave, but that huge left swing is very strange.

Probably because it would be bad press for them and unless they're involved at all it's not really relevant. If someone gets stabbed outside a residence, should they mention who lives at the residence?

chill out dude, this is a common thing. You would have the landlord put the money into escrow and sign an agreement to essentially buy you out of the apartment. If they're going to boot you out or make your life hell, might be a better option to take payment to leave. Lol at $22,000 not being shit and demanding $100,000 to leave. If $22,000 is small change for you then why are you living in such a cheap apartment? Damn dude. You're being extremely hostile to people that are offering advice.

There's not much you can do really except establish a paper trail of mail with receipts showing the checks have been delivered, along with a record of your phone calls and emails. If the landlord continues not to pay I would definitely recommend an escrow account or other account so you don't accidentally spend it.

If they try to evict you for non-payment of rent, the judge will
A: ask you if you have the rent at the time of the court meeting, at which point you'll be allowed to pay it (generally you only have until 4:30PM of the court day) and they will deny the eviction proceeding.
B: tell the landlord to fuck off for trying to pull this.

So long as you keep the money handy and available, you can not be evicted. You'll be fine.

Yes I read the thread. None of this is a simple process and involves a fair amount of time and hassle. If it's 15k in back rent it's hardly worth it. If it's significantly more then perhaps. But you'll still have to go through the process of obtaining a judgment, executing on the judgment, etc. We don't know much info, but if a tenant skipped on rent for as long as the poster implied they may not have stable employment.
whoo boy $15k in rent that's no slim pickings. I assume you missed a decimal point.

This is my first time dealing with eviction so I'm trying to learn as much as possible about it now. They will end up owing a few thousand, which if it ends up taking half a day or a full day in court could be worth it to me. Really depends on how much effort it is, but a part of me wants to go through the process anyway to learn for the future.

I'll report back if we go that route. Hopefully they will just make payments without dragging it out, but I doubt it considering what's been going on. I know for a fact that a couple of them are currently employed so wage garnishment seems like the best route, and from what I've read it shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks for the info. Does that mean I'm going to have to go back to court with this guy, or is it just filling out some paperwork? And do you know how difficult it is to garnish their wages? I have a feeling they would just ignore the debt otherwise.

Was wondering if anyone has experience with this? Tenant is about to be evicted for non-payment of rent, and I'm wondering what my options are for getting the owed rent paid to us, as it's a significant amount and I kinda have to pay the mortgage. Since we have a court judgement in our favor, can I ask the state to garnish their wages? Should I just look up a collections agency and have them handle it?

Cops pick the most inappropriate hills to die on. That was the most irresponsible policework ever, and everyone involved should be fired. I can't believe they are defending cops that got involved in a high speed chase, were shooting guns out of their cars during the chase, and then beat up an innocent man on fire.

They are a lost cause and they aren't worth even reaching out to. Instead, reach out to the moderates, who are more connected with reality.

lol. As if anyone that supports Trump is connected to reality.

And I don't believe for a second that Trump supports more liberal positions than any Republican president in modern history, for the simple fact that Trump will support anything and everything at any point in time depending on who he is talking to.

"I don't stand by anything" is perhaps the most telling thing Trump has ever said. That and "I might lie to you."

He will say anything to get approval from people, and then completely deny it or refuse to support it, and then say something completely opposite the next day, and then turn around and do something else entirely. Trying to predict what Trump supports or doesn't support is a gamble depending on what he last watched on FOX News.

In any case, I am now genuinely curious as to whether we even have pet stores in town that sell dogs, or cats.
I don't think there's a single pet store in JC or anywhere nearby that sells cats and dogs now. They all do small pets like fish, lizards, birds, hamsters, etc. I think in part because cats and dogs take up so much space/maintenance, but also because people are going to shelters and adoption events.

Anyway, I'm glad they rejected the bill as written, it really should allow for breeders to sell dogs and cats.

So what should I do about a neighbor that leaves piles of dog shit in his yard all week so it stinks to hell on a hot day? I'm thinking of just going to ask him nicely but I have a sneaking suspicion that the kind of person that leaves tons of dog shit in their yard isn't going to be the most personable guy.

Is this something that I can report to the department of housing, or health, or something? We're about to enter Summer and I'm not looking forward to the smell of dog feces wafting into my apartment every day.

Comfortable with that?

Don't be ridiculous. By "Orthodox Jewish community" we're not talking about "Jewish people." You can't compare the small and insular Orthodox community that actually works together in concerted efforts to a population of tens of millions of people spread across the entire country that make up no more of a community than Jersey City does with Cleveland.

In contrast, the Orthodox Jewish community is banded together in small areas, in tight-knit groups with private police forces, that ostracize members that leave the community, cover up crimes, run sham charities (Kars4Kids), use intimidating real estate tactics, skirt tax law, and take over township school boards to ruin public education for gentiles and secular Jews. Plus there's the harassment in Israel to more secular Jews, or the outrageous way they push Palestinians out of their land for settlements. It is not anti-semitic to be opposed to the Orthodox Jewish community. The problem with them isn't the fact that they're Jewish, it's that they're a bunch of assholes that band together to ruin the lives of other people. Ask the residents of Lakewood, and Ramapo, and anyone in Israel that has to deal with them. Or anyone who has lived in Brooklyn and has been regularly harassed or propositioned for sex, or been beaten up by the Shomrim (their private police force). Ask all the Orthodox Jewish children with diseases and deformities because of incestuous arranged marriages, or the Jewish children with genital herpes from having a rabbi perform oral sex on them.

Again, none of this is about them being Jewish. Secular Jews have just as many problems with the Orthodox. If they were Mormons or Scientologists or Jehovah's Witnesses doing all this, I'd be just as angry.

Funny, how liberals ignore the First Amendment on other matters like the florists and bakers who do not want to cater a same sex wedding. Religion falls under the First Amendment before speech , assembly, etc. Returning to the subject, it is still mediocre art.

lol what? What kind of moron is started enough by a mural of a tiger that they nearly crash?

I hope the city ignores the crybaby that is whining about this mural. Hopefully they learned their lesson from the Monopoly board debacle that there will always be someone complaining about something. If it isn't a patronizing social justice white person getting offended on the behalf of minorities, it will be a right-wing religious nut with a persecution complex complaining about tigers or God knows what else.

In this very thread we have two great examples. Yvonne represents the latter. And this Sarah Ordway person represents the former. I'm seriously sick of self-righteous white people deciding that they need to get offended on behalf of minorities. It's incredibly patronizing and honestly offensive. Not much different than the thinking of old that white people had to "steward" the "noble savages" and other races that were somehow incapable of looking after themselves.

Best to just ignore everyone and let the artist do what they want, so long as it's not obscene.
