Re: Speedbumps on the Pulaski Skyway?
Home away from home
Home away from home

I know where I got my flat tire the other day...
Everytime they remove the metal plates it doesn't look much better than before.

I had a similar experience right after passing through a plated area on the BQE 5 months ago. I wonder how many nails are generally left afterwards...

Does someone has an updated link for the standard historical colors (facade, doors etc) ? I need to repaint a door and I want it to be exactly to the tone.

Went with some friends to pay respect to Maggie yesterday, and to the food too

The duck-sweet potatoe ravioli was perfect, pasta slighly undercooked as any self-respecting amateur would expect, and a great sauce. I had a taste of their filet mignon, absolutely awsome, literally melting in my mouth. Nice beers and St Emilion Cheval Noir to wrap the meal, we were very pleased. On the waiter side there is still some little forgetfullness from what I have read but frankly, I will return even for that, they were friendly to us The decor is very nice, Maggie really brought back some of the atmospher from Hamilton Park Ale, even if it's on two levels now.

Bravo Maggie, we shall be back soon. A bientot !

When I lived at Dixon Mills I found that walking along Columbus on the North side was the way not to run against any of those people - of course the caveat is that you are pretty much alone there. Otherwise the middle of the street in Wayne. Certainly earphones help too.

Good luck to you, it was also one reason I did not buy in Dixon Mills, the idea that the situation around the complex is bound to stay the same for some time..., especially if ownership of the buildings on that block is not clearly defined.

Re: Brick Haus Gym

Checked the place today... Pretty big although it will be relatively limited in terms of benchs (~6; 2 incline only for ex). Well provided with elliptical/treadmills etc otherwise. No pool, no squad cage. They have bought from 3 providers in terms of machines. They love cables.

Presale: initiation $99 (I never understood the reason behind this one whether bureaucratic or for "free initiatic" lessons)+$69/mo
After opening: initiation $199+$74/mo
Opening in the fall...

Not terribly different from NYSC.

Anyone knows about ANY gym opening in Hamilton Park area ?
I work and drive in Joysey

If not..., well, I have used Synergy since I moved out of Hoboken (I dropped NYSC there the moment they dropped the parking coverage, as for NYSC Exchange Place, for parking/time forget it) but Synergy is pretty limited in terms of free weight/benchs/space. The $1000 beginner's fee for Brick Haus is quite ridiculous I agree - but it looks like someone is already paying for the city approval in whatever week !

So is the boxing gym on Division the best compromise for both cardio and free weights as well as space and price ($50-70) ? Hoboken was a ripp off considering the crowdness and time sharing of equipment with post-frat golden boys.
