Is this a drive-by or a ride-by shooting?

She won because of her last name, hope the same does not happen in the democratic presidential candidate elections.

Bolden Cunningham gets senate nod
Sandra Bolden Cunningham has captured the Democratic nomination for the state senate seat once held by her late husband, Jersey City Mayor Glenn D. Cunninghm. The tide turned in the race about two hours ago, with Bolden Cunningham pulling ahead of Assemblyman Lou Manzo, D-Jersey City. With 84 percent of the vote counted, Bolden Cunningham had 8,430, or about 55 percent, to Manzo's 6,943. Bolden Cunningham ran on the Hudson County Democratic Organization ticket, while Manzo ran with the Democrats for Hudson County, a ticket put together by Union City Mayor Brian Stack, who easily won the nomination for the 33rd District senate seat. Bolden Cunningham's running mates, Bayonne City Councilman Anthony Chiappone and former Jersey City Council President L. Harvey Smith, were winning in the assembly race.

If there is so much violence there, why doesn't the police patrol this place 24/7? Isn't this like the 4th murder in there?

Official: Report of officer firing into crowd untrue It is absolutely untrue that a Jersey City police officer fired into a crowd while responding to a fatal shooting at the Booker T. Washington public housing complex last night, city spokesman Stan Eason told The Jersey Journal today in response to earlier press reports. When police arrived at the scene of the fatal shooting, they saw a man and a boy running away, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said. One officer gave chase and at some point the man turned and pointed a gun at the officer, who fired one shot at him, DeFazio said. The bullet hit no one. DeFazio wouldn't comment on claims the officer fired into a crowd, saying he had not yet seen all the reports. He did, however, say a preliminary investigation has found that the officer acted reasonably in firing his gun. An officer is allowed to use deadly force to protect himself or a civilian when deadly force is being used against them, DeFazio said. The officer must have a clear shot that does not put the innocent in danger, he added. See tomorrow's Jersey Journal for details. http://www.nj.com/newslogs/jjournal/i ... hives/2007_05.html#250730

Hold up, what newspaper is this from? Second, do you or anyone else around you work for any rival politician of Cunningham? Third, How can you put an article without saying who wrote it? And last, if this is true, how in hell was that guy allowed to serve only 4 years out of a 15 year sentence?
