Again, as I've mentioned before, I was in the seminary during McCarrick's first year as Archbishop of Newark. The media has overly exaggerated what actually happened. SOME of the former seminarians and priests are out right lying. Of course, I never went to his beach house nor was I a victim in any way of any of McCarrick's alleged abuse.

Yvonne you're an idiot. A lying hateful idiot. There's no nicer way to put it.

Sutherland said, and I'm quoting "Your statement that I have no sympathy for victims is unsupported. I do have sympathy for them. The fact that I don't equate homosexuality to abuse in no way suggests I have no sympathy."

but carry on... who needs Netflix when we can read your posts.

What happened to your lambs Yvonne?

This problem will continue because people here rationalize certain behaviors. I was watching Bishop Barron who makes youtube videos on church matters. He developed the series called "Catholicism." Bishop Barron said it is clericalism, grave sin, and homosexuality as the main cause of the scandal. This was a 24 minute interview by his staff called "Word on Fire." I know I will get hate for this. I don't care, the bishop hit the problem on the head.

Sounds tricky. Best option is to get a real estate attorney involved. Period.

You need someone on your side to protect you. You'll need to deal with the neighbor and the association.

Or as previously mentioned, the backyard.

This is awful.

About four years ago I started paying for gas strictly with cash. I know it can seem inconvenient sometimes but it's become second nature to me. I just make sure to get cash back with a purchase here and there. Easy to put a few bucks in the wallet for when I need to fill up.

I live in the Foundry. I can guarantee you that we DID NOT see any flooding. The water didn't even reach the Park & Ride lot. I live in one of the inner courtyard units (the ones past the lobby) and during heavy precipitation we do get some water accumulation (mostly because the drain covers are often clogged with lint, dirt, dust, etc) but nothing that would actually seep into units. I don't know much about the units along Monitor Street, but I don't think I would like to live in one of them because the lack of abundant natural light would bother me. As for other units, most of them are rather spacious and the rent levels are very enticing.

Hello All,

Is anyone familiar enough to help with a concern?

During super storm Sandy was the NJ Transit, Foundry parking lot flooded?

Currently considering The Foundry (ground level unit) and want to make sure it's okay. I was told it's fine, but would prefer more opinions.

Thx!

Yes. I just got back from there this afternoon. I visit them often. Great, great food. Nice laidback setting.

The food is amazing. The tacos are easily 2 to 3 times filled in more than a Taqueiria.

Recommended: worth the effort to get out there on a regular basis.

i asked about Krave, they said they'd be serving Krave food for about a week and then "transitioning to halal and mediterranean food"

I orderd the taco-rice platter. the Krave flavor is gone.

And wow, another med. food place in downtown... THAT'S ORIGINAL! lol

Re: Ibby's - DO NOT GO!

Ibby's still is my fave. Gypsy Grill is good, but I do prefer Ibby's.

Was in Hoboken today and went to Mamouns. Falafel was delicious, sharma too. The lentil soup is a different version than Ibby's, I prefer Ibby's.

One issue I had was my bill. The total was $15.00. While I was eating I looked over the receipt and saw my total was $14.00 plus tax .98 and the grand total $15.00.

I could have easily let it go, but decided not to.

After I finished I went to the register and pointed it out to the guy. He said "It rounds" ... before I had a chance to say anything he asked if I want the "two cents back." He made it a point to emphasize the "two cents" part as to put me down.

I simply replied, "Yes." Got my change and was on my way.

The incident won't stop me from going back, but since I'm downtown JC and satisfied with Ibby's, I doubt I'll be making any trips to HOB specifically just for Mamouns. But will drop in if I'm in the hood and in the mood.

that's my 2 cents (pun intended) on the matter.

"Lincoln park which is a couple blocks from Van Vorst is really nice as well. I'd say it's better than central park bc you have the ellis island and the statue of liberty right there and a great view of the manhattan skyline."

I think you meant to say LIBERTY STATE PARK, not Lincoln Park.

Lincoln Park is nice too, but on the West Side.
