Re: Parking Permit to 11:00 PM

I don't like to get involved in parking issues, but I have to say as someone who would love to visit some of the restaurants for lunch it's nearly impossible to find parking in or near grove. First you have stretches of road that are parking only by permit and then the other spots are usually full. Then you have meter parking on grove which involves someone taking a space for the most of the day or its no parking with construction left and right. So if I want come out, I wait till Sunday or wait till the evening and by then I'm in the mood for something else. Now if the city plans on making parking by permit to to 11, I'll stay in the heights and go to Shadman's on a holiday.

Having read her blog, I have yet to come across a negative review. I have eaten at some of the restaurants she raves about and honestly the food isn't all that great. So I don't buy into what she's pushing.

But I do give her credit for highlighting places one otherwise would not notice.

Not enough of parking per unit? Deed it out to certain unit, and move it it around for a profit of 70K. Glad the city is on the developers side.

I went in a while back and left thinking why did I pay $3 and something for a slice of pizza when I could've gotten a tastier 99 cent slice from the city.

Walked by the current Chickfila around 9 last night and the sign on the window says grade pending. I would've stopped in, but I was already in the mood for some platters.

I think asking for a ignore button is bit childish. If you don't like what someone has to say, skip over them, no one is requiring you respond to them.

There was a listing on the zillow sometime back that had a house on sale for over a million and when I checked the city tax site they are paying a little over 10K. Apparently the building owner rakes in well over 50K in rent. How does that make sense?

Having just walked to Journal Sq and back, PS 31 has done a horrible job cleaning the sidewalk on Kennedy. Its passable for just one person. Over at the Square, the meter parking/taxi stand next to Zip ave hasn't been touched. The sidewalk on Kennedy and Route 139 after the 7/11 has not been touched as well.

$288,524 for a traffic light and $885,838 for left turns, bike lanes and a pedestrian signals? Does this not seem like too much for something basic ?

Wrong, and wrong.

Boost phones are using LTE. You can certainly use those phones overseas. As for iPhones, you can jailbreak and unlock an iPhone yourself very quickly and easily. Or, you can pay someone to do it for you.

I do hope you know Boost works on cdma and its lte is only good for data, and for that the phone needs to register on the network.

Another thing, when you're paying someone to unlock an iphone it still needs a clear imei.

I think the training is done along side the HC Sheriff, I have seen them in the summer at Lincoln park.

Sure, why not a casino? They've worked out so well in Atlantic City.

I found this to be one of the best articles about why Atlantic City failed as a casino resort - and Las Vegas - didn't http://dailycaller.com/2014/07/15/atl ... lessons-for-other-cities/ Presumably, JC will not suffer from the same top-down, heavy handed planning and our casino will thrive and not be a blight. JC is already a vibrant city, as opposed to the mono-economy of Atlantic City.

I'm not sure if at a time of uncertainty J City should spear head a casino development.

I don't know how hard it is for someone to print and fill the form from online and make a copy of the registration and license and write a 15 dollar check and walk into the office.. They'll even copy your DL and registration. IF you have everything in order you'll be out in less than 10 mins and I know because I been doing this the last 5 years.

I'm here and my first impression of the place is it's big. You have to pay first before being seated. It's not fully packed, but has good amount of people. There are numerous stations, and the hibachi grill towards the back. Didn't try it, since I'm already full after 2 rounds.

I recommend others check this place out.

I used to think buyrite is the cheapest but its not. If you are ever in River Edge, Total Wine is cheaper. That said, i still go to buyrite since its more convenient.
