Incident at Barrow & Montgomery
#31
Home away from home
Home away from home

A neighbor just told me of an incident she witnessed at the above corner in the past half hour. A police car was parked and two police officers were on the sidewalk as a woman walking her dog came by. The woman almost slipped and her dog got away from her running into the park toward other dogs. The police men began screaming at her to gain control of her dog to the point where a man passing by told the two officers it was'nt necessary to scream in that fashion. At that point one of the two pulled out his gun and told him to keep moving. We need to know more about this
because it's scary.

It's a major miracle if he made it all the way across the Hudson to Governor's Island considering the tides which if he left Jersey City would have taken him right down to the Verrazano lickety split. Is it a definite that it was Governor's Island and not Ellis or Liberty? Let's go to the videotape. Glad he made it in any event.

9-1-1 operators have a nationwide pool of translators they use who can speak any language and dialect known and are available in an instant. Surprised the hospital did'nt use them.

The court may be doing some investigative probing before a decision is given like checking the airline's passenger list for the past couple of years to counter her claim she only went so often, interviewing neighbors in Orlando and the Sentinel reporter who interviewed her at the Orlando home and to whom she stated she lived there because "all my clothes are here".

Jersey City has no plan other than that driven by developer's loot. This award only fuels the boozefog mentality of this city's politicians and they actually do think they're doing great. Total rubbish.

From Bras to Brews... Buy Rite is opening in the former Bali Bra factory which went bust some years ago & appears to be an uplifting experience for the downtown community.

One of the doctors arrested was Dr. Magdy Elamir who figured prominently in Dateline NBC's special "On the Trail of Arms Merchants" which aired in '02 detailing the arrests of two Jersey City men, Mike Malik and Diaa Mohsen. They were caught in a Federal sting wherein they attempted to sell an arsenal of weapons including components of a nuclear bomb to undercover agents. Elamir owned an HMO that was "funded by Bin Laden" according to the feds and in turn Elamir skimmed money from the HMO to fund "terrorist activities". There is much more than can be told here but for sure it will come out again. It's an amazing story.

The price of honest government is continued vigilance and the calling out of the scoundrels on a daily basis. It is not contained in a sound bite or an on-camera moment. Though the dialogue seems sparse on the part of the activists fighting for justice, it is not stale. Many people want these scoundrels out of office and we must be reminded on a daily basis of their crimes and misdemeanors. Perseverance and resolve.

There may be 885 cops but no more than half or less actually patrol the streets. The brass, those in specific units like emergency, narcotics don't patrol. Then there are those cops who are on sick leave, suspension or work at desk jobs in headquarters or elsewhere. They don't patrol. The same standard pap is served up at these community meetings. Cops do well on their salaries, at least $50,000 after a few years plus bennies. And let's not forget the off-duty jobs where they stand around doing nada & can double their salary. If we tell them where the crime is should'nt we get paid instead of them? I think so.
And by the way where's the bikes? Those who know will understand.

It's always the taxes that do you in. Remember Al Capone.
U.S. Attorney Marra and FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Dun must be following this with great interest. Ms. Lopez is married to a high ranking County Official who may be able to shed some insight on his wife's negligence. This gets hotter day by day.

This block of Wayne street has been notorious for ages. In my time here I have never seen an effort to clean up the criminal activity. This is not a priority for the police. They are of a mind we are crazy for living here. They did not want to believe the person who called them. Enough said.

To be clear the feds did'nt just visit Healy's beach house...they searched it. This in August, after the "BIG BUST" so they were acting on new info from guess who? The Blues Brothers of course whose deals were cut in August. Follow the yellow brick road.

A few years ago when PATH re-opened the eastern entrance to the Grove Station they had a perfect opportunity to install an elevator. They did not. What they did in fact was to create an entrance where you now had to go up a half dozen steps to go down. Not good.

Mr. Northgrave's smug reply that he need only prove Ms. Lopez resided in Jersey City for the year prior to her election may be legally grounded but this is one mess that will only snowball it's way toward Gator Alley. Questions are beginning to surface about taxes, single or joint returns, cars registered in Florida, taking husband's name 6 weeks before election and so on & so on. I'm sure the feds have smelled this out in Newark. The clambake is on.

The money from Dwek that wound up in Healy's campaign bucket was'nt Dwek's to begin with but the governments who gave it to Dwek as bait cash. Should not that money be returned to the government and not charity? What's the answer here?
