WTF do they have to be right downtown. As a resident 1/2 a block away I am furious. Parking is hell already and will only get worse. Of course our "elected" officials think it is great. More opportunity to line their pockets & that of non resident cops.
On a positive note lets hope it brings business to local stores, restraints etc. but I would rather do without.

Given that the vast majority of JCPD live outside Jersey City they have absolutely no skin in the game. Their families are safe elsewhere and they get paid no matter what so "why would they care".
Just my 2 cents....

Not sure if it was that building or the one next to it but there was a fire about 3 years back. Where are the prices listed?
The neighborhood is great.
Good Luck & Congratulations!!

I have had a number of suits altered by Decarlos. Best work in Jersey City, professional & courteous service. He is a great guy.

Damn, Montgomery street will be the usual mess, including my front porch and garden...
I had been pleased with the geberal lack of 'ethnic' parades this year.
C'est la vie in JC.....

There is also an NJ transit bus whcih runs from the Harrison PATH station. I don't recall the number though. It continues on to Jersey Gardens which is its final destination.

Xerses - How do you know the tower is half empty? It is actually at full capacity & has been since late March. This is a fact.

I was travelling home on the 33rd to JSQ train on Saturday last and I overheard the conductor and a co-worker having a conversation regarding the of new cars. According to both PATH employees the new cars are too high for the tunnels and need to be "sized down" by an inch so they can be used.
Has anyone else heard about this?

Preps to xtine & matchjames - I am so tired of everyone trying to wish any new business into closure before they open. Be thankful some folks are willing to put their dollar bills into new & improved in JC. God knows city hall isn't interested.
Mr Fulop why are SID meetings held on Tuesday mornings?
SID appears to be a club supporting a certain developer & a bar/restaraunt in JC?????

[size=small]My usual dogsitter has also got to leave town while I am away over Memorial day weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on kennels/dog boarding in JC. I have 2 smallish dogs. I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks
