La Rustique will be moving this summer, so the additon of John's will make that move less painful for me ( I am a HUGE fan of La Rustique).

Does John sell slices or just pies?

Speaking of food - anyone know what happened to the Amazon Cafe (located by the Waterfront in the office building by the Pierhouse). I ran by this morning and it was closed w/an official looking document stating that the place was to be padlocked, no addmittance, etc.).

I take my daughter to Dr. O'Mallon in JC Heights. I am very happy with their service. When my daughter was 17 mos old, she chipped a front tooth. He charged < $100 to check it out and subsequent visits (about 3 visits) to check the status of the tooth were free. My daughter just had her first real checkup - xrays, cleaning, etc. Charge was much less than $300. Dr. O'Mallon - 3183 Kennedy Blvd 201-798-2322

Thanks for posting this - very useful information. Wow - great scores for Learning Community Center. Too bad you need incredibly good luck to get in.

They are reopening somewhere on Jersey Avenue. Don't remember the cross street. Too far away for me :(

Does anyone know when it's scheduled to open? It does seem like they have been working on it for a very long time.

Montessori winter break is 2.5 weeks and no, not going stir crazy w/my child at home. My daughter absolutely loves the school despite the fact that they don't have an indoor gym.

I live in downtown JC and delivered both my children @ NYU Medical Center. I loved the hospital and would recommend it. The only drawback w/delivering in the city is if you are in JC and go into labor during rush hour. I went into labor w/my first child on a Saturday nite. It was a quick 20 minute ride to the hospital (which is located @ 31st and 2nd Ave). My second child was due to arrive around the time our President, Mr. Bush was in town - total traffic chaos as all the streets were blocked off. My doctor was very concerned I wouldn't get to the hospital in time. Baby #2 arrived shortly after I walked to the hospital straight from my weekly dr. appt.
