So the conclusion, when a liberal cannot win, make personal attacks. I did not make up birthing people, the Dems did.

So what it is a Christian headlines, I saw this on the news, and even liberal Bill Mahr discussed it. They have courage when the woke media lacks it. After all, how many places reported on Hunter Biden? Just the New York Post, others called it all Russian disinformation, but now that there might be indictments, the New York Times is calling it out.

You cannot go by snopes. They are not independent, but I remember seeing on tv, Rep. Corey Bush and others calling women birthing people.

Plumbers will be very busy then, I remember a "free tree" the city gave out in the 1970s, that tree grew into my water lines. I had to call out the plumber numerous times when he finally told me the roots from the tree was causing the problem. I removed the tree, and the problem went away but that plumber made a lot of money from me.

Bayonne liens
#37

The City of Bayonne had its tax lien advertisement. It is around 190 names. When JC had its tax lien it was 4,200 names. Yes, Bayonne is smaller but if equivalent in population, that would be around 800 names in lien. JC rent control which stops taxes being passed on to tenants and affordable housing which pays no additional taxes have pushed increasing taxes on the small homeowner to such a degree, they have a higher rate of default.

Politicians came to JC in the mid-1970s to ask the public to vote on the income tax. They said this tax would pay for public schools. I believed them and voted for the income tax, now I pay an income tax and a growing school tax. The politicians lied to us.

Fulop gave a sweetheart deal at the expense of property owners
#41

Home away from home

During the pandemic, Councilman Solomon introduced an ordinance that was passed by the city council to temporarily place non-owner occupied 1 to 4 family homes under rent control. I repeatedly asked when will this ordinance expire because JC rent control laws unlike most towns, are under Consumer Price Index which means they cannot have a tax increase for tenants. The landlords receive a tax increase and they must go to Hudson County Tax to appeal where they win. I have personally witnessed this procedure at tax court where the administrator says, JC unlike other towns cannot pass on a tax increase to tenants. Since we are now faced with massive school increases as well as solid waste charges on our water bills, I have decided to so a search on the city website under rent control. There is a registration form for landlords to fill out for their 1 to 4 family homes non-owner occupied buildings. Last year, I have emailed Councilwoman Watterman and Business Administrator John Metro about this ordinance since it originally said it would expire. Now I know why I was ignored. Owner occupied 1 to 4 family homes will bear the brunt of the tax increase and the administrator kept quiet about this sweetheart deal for tenants. In the past rent control was only for 5 or more units.

The last articles written by Terrance McDonald of the Jersey Journal were the massive raises given by the school board to teachers, so essentially - they are liars. Salaries are the reason for tax increases. Taxes went up last year, but Fulop used covid funds in the budget to shelter the impact to protect his re-election. JC is accepting more affordable housing which pays nothing to the school system, I have always been against affordable housing because it puts more taxes on the small homeowner, there is nothing in the city or state charter that says, other people should pay for their taxes especially school taxes. Also, our rent control laws are not like most cities, there can be no tax pass alongs, since rent control is under the Consumer Price index, another group of residents will not feel the impact of this massive tax. It is time for JC to fix their rent control laws. It is also time for JC to sue to state since the sales tax and income tax were passed by state residents to pay for education and not have it on property.

During the 1970s, state senators visited JC and other towns to push for the income tax. They told us it would take place of property taxes. They lied. JC should sue. I voted for the income tax because I did not want it on property.

I don't know if it includes last year but I do know that rent control tenants and affordable housing cannot have a tax increase so this is strickly on the small property owners, which is wrong.

It was Council-President Watterman who reduced public speaking from 5 minutes to 3 minutes including ordinances which had numerous pages related to an ordinance. So, I don't expect her to add more time to the city council by having expanded meetings with a hybrid. However, since there is less parking downtown, this does make sense. You will spend more time finding a parking space than using your 3 minutes speaking.

Here is a guy who committed suicide because he entered the Capitol. He even called the FBI and turned himself in. He pleaded guilty even though he just took pictures of the Capitol and left. The government decided to charge this non-violent person as a domestic terrorist which could give him some serious prison time. The guy went into a deep depression and committed suicide. What was his real crime? He voted for Donald Trump and the Dems who are in charge considers that to be a crime.

Steve Fulop used covid money to put in the budget last year when the board of ed raised their rates. But there is no covid money this year and taxpayers, except rent control and affordable housing, will feel the impact. There is a long time left and Fulop school funding is something he has to address for the next 3 years. After all, he gave away the school funding with 75 tax abatements.

When you start saying these are two separate issues, then you are justifying who can break laws in the US. Besides the death of Ashli and allowing the Capitol officer to get away with it, the next outrageous thing - no bail for the violators. Some are even in total isolation. According to their lawyers, they are kept from family and even their lawyers. That is a crime. The Dems who are running DC are one step below Justin Trudeau of Canada. He threw people in jail without warrants and seized their bank accounts. The US government used our banks like Bank of America and asked them to see who visited DC on Jan. 6th. Some people were arrested who never entered the Capitol but their used their credit/debit cards to go to DC and are now spending money on lawyers to get themselves free. This is wrong.

I mentioned illegal immigration because there are actually laws on the book that have criminal charges against anyone who comes here. So, this government plays games with who can break a law. Illegal immigrants can break laws and it is no big deal. In fact, they are given debit cards, placed on buses or airplanes to the places of their choices and receive tax paying funding. While Americans who enter the Capitol are now in jail without bail and Ashli is dead. But here is the trick, those who went to Washington are not Dems, but those who come here illegally will be future Democratic voters. The US sounds like some 3rd World Country.

Basically, you are saying you do not believe in the Constitution, there is due process under the 5th and 14th Amendments. There are stories in old newspaper clippings on people walking into the Capitol and White House in the 19th century. I remember one where one person actually argued with then President Lincoln on slavery. A common practice in the past does not give the Capitol police the right to shoot to kill for entering a building. Yet the Dems have no problem with illegal immigrants breaking the law to come here. I could quote the verse on illegal immigration but as a liberal, you would not care. They break the law, and tax dollars go to support them here. Ashli enters a building she helps support with her tax dollars and she is murdered.

I sincerely doubt that. Furthermore, as I've already said, Ms. Babbitt went through the window and tried to go somewhere she wasn't supposed to be. You mess with the bull long enough, you get the horns. If she didn't want to get shot, she shouldn't have been there in the first place. Don't want to get shot? Don't commit a crime.

You have pointed out clearly the difference between being a protester and being a criminal. That building was under attack by trespassers (not protesters) who were somewhere they shouldn't be AND who were destroying property in the US Capitol. Disgraceful and imo, treasonous.

What property did Ashli destroy that legimatized her death, in your opinion? If Minnesota decided not to charge the person who started the fire that resulted in death, why is his 7 sentence fair? His actions killed someone, Ashli harmed no one.

In all municipalities across the US, a cop is only allowed to discharge his/her gun if the officer's life is threatened, or another life is threatened. Neither of these thresholds happened to warrant shooting anyone from the Capitol police officer. His life was not in danger and Ashli posed no threat. Ashli had no weapons nor told anyone she was going to harm them. By the way, on March 1st, the Truckers will arrive in DC. The mayor in DC has called on the National Guard. Both the mayor and Nancy Pelosi denied Trump's request for the National Guard for Jan. 6th. They are held responsible. And the fact, there was no inquest on the Capitol officer means Nancy did not want Congress to ask questions on why the officer used his gun.

Neither did the protesters during the summer of 2020 have the right to burn down police stations, court houses or public businesses but they did, and the Dems called them heroes. I have seen the video of the protesters entering the Capitol. Some people climbed in others had the door opened for them by the Capitol police and the walked between the ropes as though they were at a museum. I blame Nancy Pelosi for the riot because she nixed Trump's request for the National Guard which would have been stationed outside the Capitol building. Indict Nancy instead.

Ashli is not a traitor, even right now, the Biden administration is asking the courts not to release the findings on Dominion voting machines, which by the way are used in NJ. She had every right to protest. She did not harm anyone. By comparison, the BLM/Antifa rioters did harm, and some even killed people, yet the Dems gave them bail money and called the heroes. She was there to protest the vote. The Dems are quiet on the fire that happened in Minnesota and someone got killed. The guy who started the fire in which a life was lost will only get 7 years, he will not be charged for murder.
