Because we were thetacotruck in jersey city when you were still in business school. (now this is getting good right?) Why would the_taco_truck hijack our thread? Anywho...so yes LES has chips and guac and a couple other things that come with having a full bar. (margaritas) Jersey City location will get these too as we are in the process of obtaining a full liq lic. here as well. We never said guac wasn't mexican, others said we said. We have been fortunate (actually fortune has nothing to do with it) that the response in NY has been stellar. But as someone has already pointed out, there really is nothing like the original. Peace.

It's okay to vent. Look, bottom line is no amount of horrible treatment from Taq warrants calling our darling little precious bundle of joy a d-bag. (We were just playing with her and can assure you she's really not) Those who like us really like us and it's awesome. We like you too and don't worry we're not going anywhere. Some are absolutely right. We live in jc and our first business was in jc and we have have done whatever we could to give to the community. Comments were made in defense of our child that were not truly indicative of jersey city but more of some of the people that troll these sights and try to stir up drama. For every one ianmac or rbny or whatever other names they give, there are a thousand Bobs and Brians and susan and joes and reginas and johns and brendans and noahs...etc(you get the picture) who are friends and who really make all the hard work worth it. We are very, VERY appreciative of these fine people and it's a pleasure serving you and your children. People tear into us personally quite a bit and really, we can handle it. It's just when someone calls your child a little d-bag, well that's a bit much but oh well...by the way...it's little miss d-bag to you...

Mentioning our little girl is exactly the class that we have come to expect from jersey city. Luckily...(actually luck has nothing to do with it) taqueria downtown is so busy and runs well enough on its own, so we can focus on taqueria LES. Can't even tell you the difference in class in the clientele in NYC than that in Jersey. So don't worry, it's just a matter of time before we close the jersey store. You can say whatever you want about our store and about us and you do and that's fine. We've lived with it for years. But if you have something to say about our child who has nothing to do with anything, I urge you to come in and say it directly to our face and for once not cower behind the anonimity of the internet. Anyway...everyone else have a nice day. Let the jclist discussions begin...

We have to say, such passion is truly flattering. We appreciate the critics and even the bloggers. They could be blogging about a million other things and yet they choose us. Thank you and Go Dodgers.

Watch out Mr. Froman. With all of our references to 80's pop culture, people are going to think that Abe Froman works for us.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Hey, we'll take all the "eff you's" and "garbage" and "overrated" and "horrible service" but putting down our music is where we draw the line. It's probably a generational thing.

Most of these posts can be read on Taqueria's wall as you walk in. Our customers always get a kick out of them.

for tacos on monday there's also a bodega called acapulco in bayonne on broadway...walk thru the bodega to the back where there's a couple of small tables...order in the kitchen and they bring it out to you...very tasty...buen provecho...

We had to close the restaurant. We have FOUR drains which backed up (even after we plugged them) and TWO sump pumps that were pumping the water out to the flooded streets which in turn was just coming back into the restaurant. So this Mr. X has no clue what he's talking about. Although it affected our business, what REALLY sucked was watching our neighbors homes flood. It rained pretty hard but not enough for all this. We have pictures of the street, the useless sewers, basement apartments flooded etc... Anybody want to go to City Hall with this count us in.
