Is "snowflake" some anti-gay slur? Never heard it before.

Not thrilled with the proposed changes, but this issue is so meaningless compared with what was at stake in this election (Germany just provided yet another reminder), that I just don't really care about it.

But again, if you want to move and join your fellow liberals, feel free.

This issue is much more meaningful than the trumped up fear of terrorism. Barely any Americans have been killed in terrorist attacks since 9/11. You are more likely to get hit by lightning.

Blaming this bar isn't much different than blaming the CVS on JFK for that cop being killed.

The only bar in JC that should be on that list is on West Side Ave.

Completely agree about Metropolis Towers - a horrible eyesore. Unfortunately, the renderings appear to show the towers in the background, so I don't think they're going anywhere.

Damn right it's going nowhere, just completed substantial renovations. I prefer Trop Towers over these sterile glass and steel building that all look the same.

The one Park Tavern burger I had was OK. I may have been slightly disappointed because I had heard the Park Tavern burger praised so highly. Or maybe they were just having a bad night.

The burger at the newly opened Kitchen Step was delicious.

We have tried Left Bank twice and was not impressed by the burgers either time.

Park Tavern wasn't having a bad night, you were.

if they are going to do anything they should try to lengthen the platforms to accommodate additional cars. a marion station would be a waste of money. these expensive projects only make sense if they add capacity to the current system.

Another shrewd business move by Two Boots, how they were able to find some clown to buy dog shit and napkins covered in feces is beyond me but credit to them. Part of me thinks you just Photoshopped my receipt since the tax is the same, but I don't think you do something dishonest like that.

So basically, Trump lied and his statements are invalid, which was well proven.

Not at all. The NJ Advance Media inquiry shows exactly the opposite. It shows there was in fact a considerable "base" for Trump's statements. What was baseless was Fulop's (and everyone else's contention) that NOBODY in Jersey City celebrated.

You can't prove a negative. You should be able to prove a positive if you're going to make a claim.

No video records, official police reports, office news reports on this you say? Oh, ok.

Would have been good if you read the article. Police had other shit going on that day, it was 911 after all. No crime was committed so why would there be a police report?

You can't file police reports days/weeks after the event?

For what? Celebrations are protected under the first amendment.

I'm asking for evidence. There is none.

All we have right now is a guy claiming to have seen so many people gathering and screaming allahu akbar that he couldn't walk down the sidewalk and a retired police officer claiming that he chased a celebration away.

Where was this retired policeman's partner? Why can't that man corroborate this story? Was this officer up there alone? That makes no sense!

Where is the evidence that there were so many people on the street yelling?

I know for a fact that my father walked that route every day to work. I can guarantee he would have had something to say about people celebrating.

First hands account are evidence, if you chose not to believe them that is your prerogative.

You are correct that this whole thing is quite sad. It really boils down to no evidence existing and a bunch of people claiming it occurred. There are also a lot of people claiming to be abducted by aliens, yet nobody takes them seriously but these people are supposed to be taken seriously?
