Has anyone ever followed up with this law firm for tax appeal?

The definition of magnet can apply to a program, such as Visual and Performing Arts, or entire school. It simply mean that the school/program draws from across an entire city and there are admissions standards. Hunter College high school, Bronx Science and Stuyvesant are considered magnet schools too.

I don't understand the post-secondary enrollment rate as it applies to McNair. Every single student in both my sons classes went on to college or military academies. 76%? That cannot be right.

When he plays at Grove Station, I give him money. He certainly improves the commute.

We went to Blue Moon once based upon the absolutely delicious guacamole some of their staff were making fresh at Grove Street market. The restaurant guacamole was nothing like it. Ugh.

Third dinner at Osteria last weekend -- with a large party. All of our first course plates, which we shared, were delicious. My son and I shared a pork chop special, which we saw the waitstaff tasting as we came in as they opened. Judging by the looks on their faces, we knew whatever they were eating was making them very happy. My sin and I agreed. Everyone else loved their pasta dishes.

They could use some accoustical work, but the kitchen is consistently fine.

AlexC, I fill my freezer with FD meats when my favorite cuts are on sale. You can order cryovac for a bit more, or just rewrap at home before you freeze.

Bluehorse, I've gotten lobster and soft shell crab when they're on sale. Scallops, salmon, bluefish, flounder and sole. Once -- very early on - I got some nasty scallops. The cost was credited immediately.

I have been unable to find building parking that's less than half a mile from my house. Great, half empty 8A parking that I'm not allowed to rent though.

FD is the only source I know of that carries my favorite hanger steak. And when it goes on sale, I stock up. Their meats in general are excellent.

Had a weird table height thing at Osteria next door on Saturday. We went downstairs to sit -=- but came back up to the main room as the table was mid-high chest height for this short person.

I'll go for the great chili. If the street fair chili is any guide, it's terrific.

Trambone, your fellow musicians include those who have been teaching at Metropolis for years. I don't think this is a zero sum game.

Quote:
Metropolis is making it possible for teachers to earn money by teaching in their space, and Metropolis generates additional business for these teachers by being a local business, a good neighbor and referring new prospects to these teachers.

Because the teachers aren't wasting non-billable time traveling from student to student, they may end up teaching more and making more.

Trambone, your criticism of an established brick and mortar music school is unwarranted. Of course, Metropolis takes a cut for providing space, heat, light and a steady stream of students. Why shouldn't they? The teachers who choose to teach there are not indentured servants and can make their own decisions as to whether this arrangement suits them. Some of them have been associated with Metropolis for years so there is obviously some benefit to them.

Further, not all families have an appropriate space in their homes for music lessons and prefer to go to the school.

Disclosure: Several family members are professional musicians/music teachers. They live in the suburbs and have their own home music studios. They certainly recoup the cost of their lovely custom studio in their rates.

I believe Candice posted on FB that the March 3 hearing will be focused on feedback from business owners, with subsequent hearings for feedback from the community.

The third WHEREAS clause assumed a benefit to local business.

Re: TALDE JERSEY CITY

We were there on Wednesday night and got seated right away. We ordered four from the Dim SUm section and one entree - the Korean fried chicken.

The Kung Po wings were stellar. Hot, spicy, bold flavor -- they were so good that the other chicken dishes we ordered, the Chicken Bo and the fried chicken paled by comparison. I would not order those dishes again.

We also liked the tuna tartare roll and the pork pretzel dumplings.

Service was fine. Nice beer list. VERY noisy with an annoying rap music overlay.

That's what the tenants were told quite some time ago. I was surprised to see a realtor's sign in the window, given the PNC deal.
