1. My car hasn't been broken into on Erie St. in over 5 years!

2. The other day a cop sat and bullshitted with me for 20 minutes while helping me jump my truck(left the lights on overnight).

3. This one is kind of a downer actually, but there hasn't been an all out middle-of-the-street brawl between the Talde and Keyhole crowds like I thought there would be.

Downtown is sound as a pound.

If you're using any in-site search feature, you're a lunatic and deserve to end up with nothing.

Follow Bodhipooh's advice and you'll get what you're looking for.

JC Dweller, you're nuts. The "What's going there?" thread is the best thing on the site.

Yeah, Police station is just a little west on Communipaw, but we're talking a few hundred yards.

Crazy, just drove by there both yesterday and today.

Thread merging is revisionist history.

If someone can't figure out how to search for what they want in 2015, they're probably beyond help.

The wave does an incredible job at showcasing just how weirdly shaped the block of low buildings on Grove St. are. Who built that McDonalds?

I will say this though, they are vicious about the defense of their parking spot.

God help you if you're still there at 8:01, or try to nestle into that thing at 3:59.

The Montessori School system is a great school system built on a certain standard if they belong to the American Montessori School system OF which the JC Montessori school IS NOT !!
As the Director of the AMS states, "the name ?Montessori? is in the public domain"., therefore anyone can open up a school and call it.........MONTESSORI, drawing the public in and the public not aware they are just your everyday, pay a lot of money school...
Thanks for your unfeedback :)

Yeah, but the chicken at Kennedy Fried Chicken is usually better than at a legit KFC.

So, how's the chicken at the JC Montessori?

Your article states that there is no one body governing standards among Montessori schools, then cited a specific organization overseeing standards in some Montessori schools.
Additionally, there was no actual criticism given of the school. Why are you posting this? Is there something they did that you didn't like? Are they not up to par? Who dictates what par is?

Also, your username has the wrong zip code in it.

Come on, buddy. This is the internet, we have standards. Low standards... but standards all the same.

To echo what 7thstreeter said, I'd like to encourage you all to come out to open studio day on November 8th and check out artists in their natural habitat for what may be the last time in this spot.

It really is an incredible place and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff people are working on in there. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to take up residence there for the past year or so. I'm bitterly disappointed I won't have more time, but I'm grateful for the time I did have.

Maybe we should just go back to gas streetlights?

LED technology has improved to the point where a majority of the new commercial construction is using them (NJ offers incentives for such).

There's some neighborhoods in Maplewood that have gas lights, the kind with mantles. I was wondering whether they're electric start, have pilots or are just on all day.

As an aside, you may be interested to know a reliable source told me LED grow lamps have been a failure in the, um, pharmaceutical industry. HID's still rule.

Maplewood, South Orange, and Glen Ridge have gas lamps on every street. They're on all day.

I just drove by there today.

I was really stoked to see The Store. That means there's room for somebody to open The Restaurant. I desperately want to be that person.

Re: Letter: Hamilton Park music events too loud for nearby residents

I would also like the Mayor to personally guarantee that I am visited by no adversity for the rest of my time as a resident and tax paying citizen of Jersey City.

All of these people and their noises are offensive to me. I can constantly hear the "1 and 2 and 3" of the Barre classes across the street from me. These start at 5am! Later, crowds gather for lunch at the open air restaurant near my bedroom window. I am once again denied pin drop silence in my urban domicile.
Dinner time is also disturbed by Mayor Fulop's new "hip, happening" Jersey City. I hesitate to use the term "gangs of thugs", but there's really no other way to describe the gangs of thugs that hoot and holler outside my doorway, often sitting on the steps outside of my building, despite the fact that I have purchased those very steps with my own money. No one gets to sit on my steps but me. I have paid for them, and I will sit in comfortable silence while on them. Don't speak to me while I am on my steps.

Please move further away from my steps.

I stopped to chat with Monty and his partners while they were slinging drinks(good ones too I might add) on Saturday. They gave me the tour of the place, which is pretty dope. There's a lot to do building wise, including passing all their final inspections, but there's a lot of really unique elements to their design and the space itself is very cool.

I wish them luck.

I walked by tonight. There is no market.

I mean, unless they just like, sent the stuff out to the cleaners...

Whole lot of empty tables in their place though.

Be easy, I'm cracking wise, as they say.

The guy in the video is a buffoon who is soon to be unemployed. This is definitely not part of a an extortion ring that goes straight to the top.
The kind of entitled behavior he exhibited is pervasive indeed, especially in JCIA, but there's no way this fat shit is going to call down the thunder on Pint via inspectors or the Head Trash Baron for not serving them drinks on their shift.

Everybody take a deep breath. Better yet, let's go to Pint and get a drink. What time do they open?

Just by the by, beer at Christmas is still pretty standard for these guys, no?

Pretty much every business I've ever worked at has duked the trash guys at the holidays.

Did nobody tell Pint this?

The fat guy should be in the Jersey Hall of Fame.

He's a treasure.

I wonder if they do my block. I want to meet this timewarp supervillain.

I wonder if he's even aware how fast MW will throw him under every bus they can find.

Re: Anti-gay Jesus freak screaming at people downtown

No no no, you're talking about a different guy.

That guy is 100% harmless and is my favorite resident of downtown. He's completely approachable and you can break him out of his screaming rants if you just go calmly talk to him.

My other favorite thing about him is that if you listen to his ranting, he's totally right about everything.

Once I saw a woman trying to squeeze a car into a space on my block he walked up and starting wildly gesturing and yelling, "You cannot park there! You can't park anywhere! There is no more parking in Jersey City!"

That is a factual statement.
