How does a burger joint get spillover from an ice cream shop?

Haha I am also wondering about this statement.

Then why make the glass which spans the entire counter, opaque? Not only does it look bad from a design perspective, it makes it seem like they have something to hide.

Maybe they're hiding from people breathing all over the food??? I'm okay with this.

Those buildings were vacant lots when the Tunnel Diner was actually open. What exactly are they supposed to be appreciating about an empty storefront???

Holy crap- some of you sound like you have some real issues going on in your personal life if this stupid story immediately makes you want to lash out like an unhinged lunatic. Maybe take a break from belittling total strangers over something so insignificant and step away from the keyboard for awhile. Get some fresh air. Think about how you sound like an insecure bully and wonder why that is?

This is so true- before the pedestrian plaza existed half of that section of Newark Ave was idling cars that were double parked and nothing was done about it. Now you have a bunch of idiots who just double park illegally in front of the bodega at the start of the pedestrian plaza and the cops just sit there and watch.

For some reason I strongly suspected your reply would start like this. If you had children, you might understand why there are more important things in life than "not being a racist."

Quote:
if I did I wouldn't be using them as an excuse to act like a xenophobic racist. The example you're setting for them is probably more dangerous for the community than a refugee moving into your neighborhood.

Yeah, when you gain some maturity you might realize that the worst thing in life aren't stupid labels. I don't care if I come off as "racist" in protecting my family and country. People like you resulted in scenes like this in Europe: http://cbsnews1.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/ ... harlie-hebdo-protests.jpg

If "racists like me" stop that from happening here then I can live with the label. By the way, racists in the house just passed a law ending the Syrian refugee program by a fairly large margin, with numerous democrats breaking ranks and joining with the Republicans. I consider myself in good company.

Finally, I'll note that you assume much when you describe me as "xenophobic" (such as that I and my family are even from this country). Even "racist" isn't actually a reasonable description, since I'm open to the concept of accepting Syrian Christian refugees. But whatever, if living with the label "xenophobic racist" is the price of stopping dangerous idiocy then fine, I don't really give a sh!t.

You are aware people can choose not to reproduce and still be adults with valid opinions right? Your opinion doesn't hold any more weight just because you spit out a kid. You'll do anything to protect your family? What the hell do you think these refugee families are doing when they flee their own country because they're afraid of being killed? Pull your head out of your own ass.

That's because you're selfish. Not everyone thinks that way and a good number of people have no problem welcoming refugees (that includes innocent CHILDREN) fleeing violence. It's called not thinking like a gigantic selfish asshole- try it sometime. You might hate yourself a little less.

I'm not only selfish - I care about those already living in my community as well. I care about them significantly more than I care about people from a totally different society, many members of which hate everything this society is about. Yes, that includes the "innocent children" who grow up into the teens running from the west to join ISIS. By the way, many of us have innocent children as well. How do you look your children in the eyes and ponder that you vote to make their lives more dangerous for someone else's benefit? I choose not to do that.

I don't have children but if I did I wouldn't be using them as an excuse to act like a xenophobic racist. The example you're setting for them is probably more dangerous for the community than a refugee moving into your neighborhood.

Part of their "renovation" appears to include drilling some chalk boards into trees that are in front of their building. They also did a crap job covering the base of the trees with stained wood- looking forward to that being a rotting mess once we get some snow! I'm kind of over this place after walking past the tons of garbage they've left on the sidewalk for days at a time while they were renovating this time around. I'm not expecting much despite the new name.

The Mezuzah would be in their doorframe. I don?t care about you blessing your condo.

Considering the Catholic Church chooses to depict a nearly naked man with spikes through his hands, thorns around his head and slashes and cuts dripping blood throughout his body, I find it rather comical that a bunch of healthy people in a photograph would be alarming, disturbing or embarrassing?

No, F that! I include the delivery fee in the rest of the tip on Seamless. Im going to need someone who ones a restaurant to explain this to me. Why would that fee go to anyone BUT the driver. Most places raise the price of each item and then they add a fee. It only take one or the other to pay for the Seamless fees. I also would like to point out that without Seamless, most of these shitty take out places would fold. A Delivery fee is not a Service fee.

You can be as outraged as you want at the concept of a delivery surcharge not going directly to the driver but that doesn't change the fact that it's still not a tip.

She didn't say she was sexually assaulted, she accused the taxi driver of trying to kidnap her and she feared being trafficked for sex.

You may blindly accept such a wild accusation, sarcastically implying it must be true because what would she have to gain by lying, but then you'd have shit for brains and no common sense.

Luckily, the NJ State Troooers who visited the scene do not think like you. They met and interviewed the "victim," along with the cab driver. They considered the allegations to be utterly unfounded and said the case is closed. You'd know this if you read the article.

But please, tell us more about how she should be taken seriously because she'd have nothing to gain by making such wild accusations. Certainly she wouldn't grab any headlines or media attention. Nor would she get sympathy and attention from pretty much everyone in her life. Oh, and don't forget that we must throw any notion of personal responsibility out the window. She should be able to drink as much as she wants without fear of consequences!

Newsflash stupid- 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted and the majority of assaults aren't reported AT ALL because of assholes like you. She should be allowed to drink as much as she wants without any "consequences" BECAUSE THATS WHAT MEN GET TO DO. When was the last time you blamed a drunk male for getting the shit kicked out of him just for being a nonviolent sloppy drunk?

Get with the times- there have been plenty of discussions in the media about how problematic it is to dissect a victim's lifestyle to determine whether or not they were sexually assaulted. I don't give a shit if this has nothing to do with the article because you've kind of already made it clear that you're the kind of asshole who blames the victim. Grow up.

Hey moron, she's not claiming she was sexually assaulted. She is claiming she was kidnapped and almost sent into sexual trafficking. You may blindly believe that, but anyone with a brain does not. What are the "statistics" on that, btw? 1 in 10 women?

Oh yeah, you can parade your fake statistics around somewhere else, as the "1 in 5" was based on a "web survey."

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-met ... lly-assaulted-they-gradu/

""This ?one in five? statistic shouldn?t just be taken with a grain of salt but the entire shaker," said James Fox, professor of criminology, law and public policy at Northeastern University."

People with your kind of attitude are exactly how the woman at UVA lied and told Rolling Stone she was raped, and everyone believed it.

LOL you're delusional if you think women lying about rape is more of a problem than women being afraid to report their assault. Get a clue grandpa.
