That's funny ... and you consider the crap coming from Trump and lies from Hillary as "intelligent political discussion"!

Do I? Based on what exactly?

Sorry to inform you whoelsecouldibe, but you're not a political party advocate, policy maker, running for office, paid representative, professional journalist or Trump's / Hillary's campaign official - basically you're just a vocal sideline cheerleader.

I would much rather discuss politics with a rational swinging voter, not a person who blindly follows (like a sheep) one specific party for life as one does a football team.

Resized Image

I'm also convinced that any person with a law degree or has a team of lawyers around them are master's of deception and lying, thus the wrong credentials to manage a nation for the people ... Both Hillary and Trump are fully aware that they can talk crap about what they will and will not do if elected and BOTH have a history of talking siht ... Both are fully aware that they are only accountable of what they say in a formal legal environment (eg. Courtrooms)

What?

I'm a vocal sideline cheerleader. Again, for who and based on what? Show your work.

To elaborate on your mention of Byzantium, far too little credit is given to the influence of the Islamic Golden Age, they were exploring math and science while the Church was keeping European princes at each others throats to consolidate their own power.

I've never read Breitbart! You need common sense to understand what I'm talking about. You want to talk about manufacturing? Every time I'm out in the harbor I see ship after ship come in full and then go back empty.

I stand by my assessment that Europe spent their way into a recession.

Beliefs without facts are great for religions, not so much for economics. The recession we shared with Europe was caused by the collapse of housing markets overheated by irresponsibly managed credit markets. From Iceland to Spain to California, the story was the same, loose credit inflaming housing followed by collapse.

We did market stimulus and have pulled our way out, though not as much as we would have had the GOP congress blocked Obama's more expansive infrastructure plans, Europe chose austerity and is still in the shitter. I don't know what world you live in.

This recovery has been the slowest in US history. The fact remains more Americans are on welfare and food stamps then 8yrs ago.

Even if that's true, (link your source) what's your point? That it would be better had we had lowered taxes and had true austerity rather than the truncated stimulus? That if the 1% had EVEN MORE of the nations wealth they would have invested it in jobs for low skilled?

You keep mentioning the recovery so I pointed out it has not been so great. I believe my original statement was that following a financial model of Europe is not the best plan.
people crack me up. of course, the recovery has not been that great. sure, china has taken a lot of manufacturing jobs from the us, but even china is not that cheap anymore. more manufacturing is shifting to vietnam, bangladesh and ethiopia. i believe workers in ethiopia are very happy to make $40 a month.

The Catholic Church had little intellectual property (or material property for that matter) it didn't steal. The Renaissance by definition was a rediscovery of Roman and Greek art, architecture and rhetoric. The Church persecuted scientists like Galileo for being threats to it's superstitions. The Western Law traditions originated with Greece, Rome and Jewish Law.

The Ten Commandments and many other elements of Hebrew law provided a major source for the development of western legal systems and democracy.

Three thousand years ago, the ancient Hebrew people lived in the Near East in an area called Canaan. This ancient people developed the idea of monotheism, the belief in one god. They believed that their god gave them laws to regulate their society, their religious practices, and their relationships with other people.

Conquered by the neo-Babylonians and later by the Romans, the Hebrews eventually became a scattered people, living in many countries under different legal systems. But they continued to develop their own law and tried to follow it even in foreign lands. Their law was based on the Ten Commandments and other sacred writings, which today we find in the Hebrew Bible. In developing their law, they sometimes borrowed legal concepts from other civilizations as well as passing on their own ideas. The Jewish law that developed influenced Roman law, English law, and our own Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

They also stole the Christmas traditions from the pagans as well.

Trump making rare N.J. appearance Saturday to talk about terrorism

TRENTON ? Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is scheduled to make a rare campaign appearance in New Jersey on Saturday when he is keynote speaker at a charity event hosted by the Republican Hindu Coalition, according to the organization's website.

The event, "Humanity United Against Terror," featuring Trump, terrorism survivors and Indian and Bollywood performers, will be held at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, the coalition's website said.

"This is a charity concert organized for the benefit of terror victims in various countries," Shalabh Kumar, founder of the Republican Hindu Coalition and chairman of the Indian American Advisory Council to the Republican Party told the Indian media in New Delhi. Ticket prices range from $9.99 to $499, although the cheapest seats are sold out.

Less than 30 days left until the Presidential election and he's making this appearance? In NJ?

He's rallying the base for his post-election career but this doesn't help him for the election. Hmmmm....

Back to the debate, does Trump really want to win the election?

Sure, he landed hits on Hillary and he rallied his base, but that's not enough to win the election. He didn't win over the undecideds and that's a losing strategy.

According to legal documents, Trump has been accused of raping a 13-year-old child, raping his ex-wife, and attempting to rape a former business associate. He vehemently denies all of these accusations?and it should be noted anyone can file a civil complaint in court, and a complaint is by no means proof of allegations. That being said, the accusations are chilling.

Nice so story says he was hanging out with Jeffery Epstein 25 years ago... where do I know that name???

http://hotair.com/archives/2016/05/13 ... offender-jeffrey-epstein/

And apparently Hillary knows him too???

I popped Epstein name in Wikileaks and first try up pops an email with HRC daily news briefing... direct from email, spelling error is email writer,

" The Guardian story, by highlighting the fact that some of the Clinton Foundation?s donors have been maintaining bank accounts in Switzerland, has focussed attention on its sources of financing rather than its makeover or its philanthropic activities. Among the donors named by the Guardian were the British retail mogul Richard Caring; Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining magnate who appeared earlier this week at C.G.I.?s annual winter meeting, in New York; and Jeffrey Epstein, a New York financier who was jailed in 2008 for soliciting prostitution from underage girls. According to the Clinton Foundation?s donor database, Giustra and charities linked to him have donated at least fifty million dollars. In 2006, Epstein gave twenty-five thousand dollars, the Guardian said. Other donors to the foundation who were identified as clients of H.S.B.C.?s Geneva office included Eli Broad, the Californian entrepreneur and philanthropist, and Denise Rich, whose former husband, the fugitive commodities trader Marc Rich, was pardoned by Bill Clinton just before he left office, in 2001. "

In case you don't recognize the Canadian "mineral magnet name" HRC okayed the sale of his uranium mining company to the Russians as SoS... allowing Russia to corner the global market on raw uranium.

Don't u realize it does not matter what Hillary does. Democratic voters will
back her regardless. These people are screaming how unstable Trump is but were saying the same things about Romney and Paul Ryan 4 yrs ago. If Hillary wins then in 4 yrs the next Republican candidate will be the "worst ever" as well.

And Trump voters do the same.

Each sides doesn't realize that both candidates are embarrassments and yet they'll blindly defend their side until the end.

Except that your family knew learning english was part of the deal. That we had set holidays, a national language, a specific culture - and that adaptation to that was expected. That isn't really true anymore. Maybe your family would have adapted anyway, but maybe not. Regardless, other families that didn't want to adapt didn't move here. Now, they are perfectly happy moving here - after all, they can get public housing, food stamps, social security, etc.
