Is that a fact that Clinton's tax increases made the US better? Or could it have been that it was just a good economic time all around? Because I am pretty sure we saw an economic downturn in the late 90's and Clinton was still in office.

you are correct, when slick willie took office he inherited a robust economy but less than 8 years later it was already in decline.

Today I was sitting outside my front door watching my kids on their bikes when the UPS truck rolled up. It was around 4:45 pm more or less. He got out of the truck with an envelope and a yellow sticker in his hand. He went to one door about 4 doors down from me walked up to the door, slapped the sticker on and then came down the street to the building right next door to mine (a 4 family building) rang a buzzer, forced the front door open and threw an envelope in and walked away. No signature, no waiting to "Deliver" the envelope. He then literally rushed off and sped away.

I haven't used UPS for almost a year now because of him personally. The last time I had something delivered from UPS, it was 4 really heavy boxes of supplies for my work that he didn't even help me across the threshold of my door. Just slammed them down onto the sidewalk like, how dare I order something that made him work. I got it after 2 stealth notices only because I waited outside almost all day.

I have officially and formally complained to UPS about him but apparantly it meant nothing because there he was today, still delivering yellow notices.

silly Ilikeglass, they're union, why would you expect service at or above common sense.?

I saw this video yesterday and it's sad but not suprising to see the gall of Willie and her baby boy. So when the city wants to revoke the placard since it's not being used properly she protests that it her car it's in despite her not driving it (on official business) but instead her little bubby drives it to work. I wonder if this is the same mercedes he was arrested in for selling drugs?

what will it take for voters of her ward to boot her the hell out of office, she's jc's version of charlie rangle.

Everyone raves about this cat, but noone can come up with a few solid examples of his "Proven" leadership"???

You should be more careful about making libelous statements. I'm giving you the opportunity to retract them before I take legal action, but I have no such responsibility.

anyone up for collecting all the shopping carts and creating a float out of them for the next parade down Newark? Could be kind of fun to then leave the float of carts at a random intersection blocking everything and causing the police to get involved. I'm sure BJ's would love that publicity.

Cops found the car 200 feet from the water's edge and when they towed it out, they found paper towels jammed under the break pedal and the car mat was on top of the accelerator, Zevits said.

An expert found that the camera strap could not easily have snagged the shifter and if the shifter was tugged while Love was getting out of the car, it would have been pulled in the wrong direction, Zevits said. It was also determined that if the car rolled down the ramp, it would not have been so far from shore, Zevits said.

Is anyone in favor of taking an hour out one evening or weekend to get together as a group and bring these carts back to BJ's. Have lets say 1 or 2 people on Brunswick and 9th, 1 or 2 at Brunswick and 8th (and so on), walk directly towards Marin Blvd. Any shopping carts we come across bring with us to BJ's. If we all do this together I am sure we would easily gather about 10 carts and drop them off at the store in Jersey. It would send a clear unified message to them that this issue is a sore point with the neighborhood.

Best possible results: BJ's will take notice of our concerns and address the issue more seriously.

Worst possible results: The carts may be off our streets for a few weeks at least.

a better idea would be to collect as many of them as possible, remove the right front wheel of each of them and mail a picture of them all as well as the wheels into the local store with a ransom note. see how badly they want their carts back.

I used to love sitting at the outdoor tables at Willie McBrides in Hoboken across from the A&P. They updated their carts to automatically lock the wheels when someone attempted to take them across the parking lot threshhold. Despite signs people alerting them people would still try to push and drag the carts a short distance before finally giving up.
