Re: JC Teacher Convicted of Sex Act - Will NOT Serve Time!

It also costs a lot of money to keep someone in jail and apparently the judge didn't think he was dangerous enough to justify the cost. By rehabilitating people you can accomplish a lot more than just throwing them in jail for revenge.

It's not really a free ride. He has to register as a sex offender, he lost his job, he has to be under supervision for life, and he can't ever teach again, and it will probably be difficult to ever get a job again.

Not like he just skipped out of the courthouse singing and dancing. I don't know that throwing him in jail would have done anything to improve our community except for destroying his life even further.

Sava, but only because they have a banner instead of a real sign. Would a real sign make it all better for your faint heart?

Between the cars, the planes, the street cleaners, and the 2 AM Friday night drunks, our city streets are heavily polluted with noise. In the fall I have neighbors who use their leaf blower for hours on end right in front of my apartment and it creates so much noise inside my apartment I can't talk on the phone or really even think straight.

Not to mention the drunken 2AM street cleaners with leaf blowers and model airplanes attached to them.

LMAO at Sava being a dump. Let me guess, you'd prefer a nice sterile-looking Panera Bread in it's place?
THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS

Because people think a small mom&pop place like Sava is a dump so they go to freaking Panera or Olive Garden instead. I bet sjcarolan uses hand sanitizer every 10 minutes.

We had a nice meetup at Iron Monkey and look forward to meeting any more brewers in JC that want to meet up for beers or do some brewing.

Considering you need a license just to have a dude playing guitar in your restaurant/bar, how do you know Hard Grove isn't just trying to do that? The license doesn't let you hold events in the street like their major parties. That requires another special license.

Frankly, I'd like to see the need for that license done away with all together. Let's hope they get it, there's practically no place in Jersey City to see live music now.
