My preferred conspiracy theory was that this is just Wag the Dog to distract from the likes of STeve King, the platform, etc.

We ate there last night. The lamb meatballs with pasta was delicious, as was the thai bouillabaisse. Excellent martini. Nice when a bartender gets a simple classic right.

Service was pleasant and seamless. We had a chat with one of the owners.

When Jersey City altered a Monopoly board mural it had commissioned on Newark Avenue to please a group of residents who found the offending portion racist, it ran afoul of the artist's First Amendment rights, critics say.

No, no...please,...not the First Amendment.

jc_dweller, Scott is in VVP all Saturdays, except the last Saturday of each month. I think he's working at a Whole Foods on that day...sharpening away.

I shopped there yesterday. Except for the organic, I found their produce prices .. and most prices in general..to be less than the old A&P. The nice fish monger is still there and there were plenty of cashiers.

Emma and her team transformed my small brown space. My neighbors hired her based on seeing my yard. They knew the "before".

Regardless of the reason, even people with body dysmorphia have to pee. Just close the damn stall door and mind your own business. Women and children .. and men... are assualted every day. No one has to dress up to get access to victims.

I've had lots of work done at Gallerie Hudson. The artistic suggestions are always good and the execution is excellent. Cannot make any comparisons to other services. Always happy with GH.

SRhia, it may be my knowledge is old but someone high up in McNair administration said "5 things"...just make sure the 5 slots are filled. They don't care what it is. One is not better than another.

Wow, Brewster, we clearly have different sources. I was told the PSAT is a full 60%. Given what i know about my kids' grades versus performance on standardized tests, that 60% number makes sense to me.

And maybe times have changed, because there was no essay for McNair.

PSAT, grades, extra curriculars (list 5, and you're done) and teacher recommendations, signed by the principal. I know one kid who didn't get in because his app was missing that signature.

McNair admissions formula puts a weighted emphasis on the PSAT score. A straight A student who does not do well on this test is at a disadvantage against an A/B student who scores well on the PSAT.

It was about $6.5K but it was at least 15 years ago. They were
incredibly careful around the slate sidewalk. Another plumber, who quoted twice the price, wanted to demo the slate because he couldn't be bothered.

YES!!! We had a busted terra cotta pipe.. Every time it rained we had a couple of inches of water in our basement.

Brajczewski Plumbing dug up under the slate slabs on our street...by hand... to replace the pipes. It was hell getting them in to do the work, but they did a terrific job.
