Alas, I too bemoan the demise of this site. In addition to the reasons stated above, the platform is a little clunky. I can't seem to log on on my phone or home PC. And you can't post photos etc.

It's such a shame. The really unexpected bravery of allowing free speech should have made this site take off.

Traditional Christmastide at Our Lady of Sorrows

Traditional Christmastide

Our Lady of Sorrows, Jersey City

Rev. John Perricone, priest Simone Ferraresi, Music Dir.
All liturgies according to the traditional ordo in Latin
Clairmont Ave & Ocean, with off street parking directly across from the Church.

Rorate Mass, 6:00 am, Saturday, December 17, 2022. The Rorate Mass is lit only by candlelight. Because it is a votive Mass in Mary’s honor, white vestments are worn instead of Advent violet. In the dimly lit setting, priests and faithful prepare to honor the Light of the world, Who is soon to be born, and offer praise to God for the gift of Our Lady. As the Mass proceeds and sunrise approaches, the church becomes progressively brighter, illumined by the sun as our Faith is illumined by Christ. Also known in the Middle Ages as the Missa aurea (the Golden Mass), because of the various promises added to it. Prope est!

Midnight Mass, Saturday, December 24, 2022.
The genealogy of Our Lord according to the flesh will be chanted at midnight and the First Mass of Christmas follows immediately thereafter. The Nativity of Our Lord is recorded to have taken place in the depths of the night and so this ancient liturgy pierces the darkness echoing the refrain of the the angelic hosts singing Gloria in excelsis Deo!. A prelude of sacred music will commence at 11:30 pm by Cantantes in Cordibus, the choir in residence. The choir , accompanied by orchestra, will sing Caldara’s Mass in G, a baroque masterpiece.

Octave of Christmas, 9:00 am, Sunday, January 1, 2023. “Today, the Son of Man is to be circumcised; this first sacrifice of his innocent Flesh must honor the eighth day of his mortal life. Mysteries abound on this day: let us not pass one of them over but honor them with all possible devotion and love.”

Epiphany Blessing of the of the Water, Thursday, January 5, 2023, 7:00 pm. This ritual was borrowed from the Eastern Church which calls it the Great Blessing of Waters on the Eve of -Theophany. It entered the Roman Ritual in 1890, the same year Pope Leo XIII composed his “Exorcism Against Satan and the Apostate Angels,” a longer version of his familiar 1886 St. Michael prayer. After the psalms and the Magnificat, the priest recites quietly, in Latin, the central oration from Pope Leo’s longer prayer to St. Michael, a deck-clearing exorcism that aims to deliver, not a possessed person, but the Church herself from the destructive designs of ¬Satan. Join in this prayer against these days which are evil! The faithful may bring water in containers to be blessed to bring home to the domestic church.

Epiphany, Friday, January 6, 2023, 7:00 pm “The Epiphany is indeed a great Feast, and the joy caused us by the Birth of our Jesus must be renewed on it, for, as though it were a second Christmas Day, it shows us our Incarnate God in a new light. It leaves us all the sweetness of the dear Babe of Bethlehem, who hath appeared to us already in love; but to this it adds its own grand manifestation of the divinity of our Jesus. At Christmas, it was a few Shepherds that were invited by the Angels to go and recognize THE WORD MADE FLESH; but now, at the Epiphany, the voice of God himself calls the whole world to adore this Jesus and hear him.”

“For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.” St. Athanasius of
Alexandria, AD 296 – 373

The rise in all cause deaths have been based on insurance company statistics which are very large and very reliable because the business depends uppon it.

Dear VoltT:

Good point. We should take real action in the real world. Most people are extremely upset when you question acceptance of vaccines. In order to get a hearing, one has to find the right time and can't always be screaming "the end is nigh" even if it is.

You're probably right this this is cheap and more than that- a waste of time. Pissing on the electric fence as the Aussies say. But what else to do: I argue at work, I call and talk to union heads, union lawyers, I try to enlist civil rights groups, I state objections to my kids schools (which rage from grammar school through university). I traveled to DC to be at the anti mandate demonstration. I wear anti mandate t shirts. I argue with all of the doctors I know personally or who treat me. It's brick wall.

In one sense, I don't know to a moral certainty that anyone I know or know of has had an adverse reaction. Maria, the 35 year old guard in my office who died after her mandated second shot from a brain clot is said to have had other health issues. My friend's son, 21, who went into cardiac arrest playing basketball is said to have a rare genetic disorder. My good friend, 36 years old, who had a massive heart attack two weeks after Pfizer II with no prior history and no family history and who is now experiencing renal failure, is said to be unlucky. (These are three representative people of about 15 I know or know of)

The problem is that most people and all doctors are conditioned a priori that the shots are safe and therefore cannot be considered.

The shocking rise in all cause mortality, however, is terrifying.
https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/ed- ... nnial-age-group-25-to?s=r

So VoltT, I pray you are correct. Almost everyone I know and love is vaxed. They continue to get vaxed. I am fighting with my 21 year old son and want him to drop out of his Ivy league school if need be. My oldest son will not even talk to me because I am unvaxed and he lines up to be the first to the latest booster.

Yours,

Mao

Why are the universities continuing to force our children to get vaccinated with boosters now?????????

Why is Gov Murphy firing Corrections Officers and employees in public hospitals and nursing homes to get vaccinated including with boosters?

I should add that it is entirely possible, of course, that this is a congenital heart defect. However, why would they be wondering if it is related to Covid. There must be something about the condition which raises the spike protein. McCullough et al have said it is a false narrative to blame these cardiac events in the young on covid.

DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN GET THE BOOSTER!!!!

So I got a terrible email today advising that the college age son of a very good friend had a heart attack on the basketball court, went into cardiac arrest, and now is on a heart transplant list but is not expected to survive. The doctors wonder if it is a result of Covid or a genetic malady. A priori, the doctors refuse to consider the vaccine.

My friend is brilliant and about the nicest guy I know. He is a do gooder too- a lawyer who has worked all his life on environmental causes.

He mocked me when I sent him Byram Bridle's video in April of 2020 and he told me that I was not to send any other antivax BS.

Kyrie eleison.

Scriptato in linguam Latinae, te laudo ! Sive ab google translate!

But again, you just attack (any one raising a question or presenting counter-facts is a crackpot whom you will not waste time on).

These graphs are in NYTimes everyday and on MSNBC, CNN, NPR, etc.

Berenson and others look closely at the data and find that it is being falsified.

Btw, Our World in Data is funded by Bill Gates. Bereneson and the anti vaxers are being destroyed by the regime for raising questions. Those who prop it up are being rewarded.

Dear DMark:

Firstly the Hill is not a right wing news outlet by any means. It is pretty much a MSM and totally pushing the agenda with no independent reporting.

I think the Atlantic has done one or two ok pieces on Covid even if its covid coverage is entirely underwritten by J&J and FB (As the magazine discloses: "The Atlantic’s COVID-19 coverage is supported by grants from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation."

But you seem unable to think. How can you believe that denouncing anyone who disagrees with the Covid narrative as a misinformation source to be a valid way of conversing. In logic, its known as the ad hominem fallacy.

Can you address the data that Berenson from Australia that Berenson is concerned with.

How about the massive amounts of serious side affects that were reported in servicemen forced to get the vax, e.g. 1000 % increase in neurological complaints. 400% increase in miscarriages. Merely screaming: misinformation is absurd.

Yours,

Mao
