The rates were set up by the city council members by city ordinance, 3-85.1, not by the union. There are no provisions for overtime rates.

I'm sure if you're a real vendor as you claim, they gave you a copy of the ordinance. Post your invoice and prove it.

It's a recipe for fraud and a bankrupt City.

The Police Fiscal dept is all civilian, including the head of the dept.

I don't know its exact location. Its by 185, caven point rd & linden ave. on the JC Bayonne Border. I knew a couple of people who kept their horses there. It was a private stable on a large companies property.

Mostly likely they came from the stables down by caven point.

They used come thru LSP and stop the a bar at Jersey and Grand, tie the horses on the fence then get a drink inside.

St. Lusy's is not on the Hoboken border. It's at 16th and Grove.

They don't accept any donations such as furniture. I think they don't even accept food.

It's a place for the homeless to sleep and shower. Most of them don't like because of violence and theft. The homeless there go to hamilton park to spend their time.

St. Lucys kicks them out before noon and has a curfew time when they lock the doors.

Patrolman Domenick Infantes succumbed to wounds received when he was severely beaten by two brothers during a confrontation about fireworks on the 4th of July 2001.

Patrolman Infantes was attending a neighborhood party while off duty when the two men began setting off and throwing firecrackers near children. A dispute started between the men and a neighbor, and the neighbor was struck with a pipe.

Patrolman Infantes, who was unarmed at the time, came to the man's aid, displayed his badge, and identified himself as an officer. The two men demanded to see Patrolman Infantes' gun as well because they did not believe he was a police officer. The men then struck him in the head with a 4-foot lead pipe and continued to beat him with pipes until backup units arrived. The pipes that were used had the names of the suspects engraved on them.

Patrolman Infantes was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds two days later. The two suspects were charged with murder.

On October 30, 2003 a jury found one suspect not guilty on all charges against him, and found the second suspect not guilty of murder, but guilty of a lesser charge of reckless manslaughter.

Patrolman Infantes had served with the Jersey City Police Department for seven years.

He is survived by his wife, parents, and a brother, who later became a Jersey City Police Officer.

It's more like an accident than an assault. If that is what happened. Remember, it's only one side of the story.

If he works at the range he teaches people how to use guns, he doesn't have access to any other guns beside of his own.

Why don't you wait for the final outcome before you send people to anger management classes.

There's nothing to see here, move on.

Sarcastic and illiterate, very nice. The question was about cell phones. 911 on cell phones doesn't get you your local police department.

Don't be stupid. Who are you are getting Hawaii?

When the 911 operator answers they say what agency you got.

All you have to do is ask for Jersey City 911. Most likely your getting the County 911. Dumbass.

Filipino terrorists gearing up for campaign
By Connie Levett Herald Correspondent in Bangkok
June 18, 2005

A radical organisation of Christian converts to Islam with close links to the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group has emerged in the Philippines, raising fears of a new cycle of terrorist attacks, possibly suicide bombings.

The most senior Philippine security official sounded the alert as the Government set up a taskforce to investigate intelligence that Jemaah Islamiah and Abu Sayyaf are recruiting suicide bombers in the country's south.

The new intelligence suggests the two terrorist groups are also recruiting disaffected members of another group, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, which is involved in peace negotiations with the national government.

"Abu Sayyaf has succeeded in networking itself with Jemaah Islamiah and even al-Qaeda," said Norberto Gonzales, national security adviser to President Gloria Arroyo. "Rajah Sulaiman group is an organisation of Christian converts that has established links to Abu Sayyaf [and] its operation is under the control of Abu Sayyaf."

Suicide bombings had been used by Jemaah Islamiah but were rare for Filipino terrorist groups, he said. "In the case of the converts, we are looking at this seriously. Martyrdom is very strong in the Catholic faith," he said, speaking of potential suicide bomber recruits. Abu Sayyaf appeared focused on the cleansing of infidels, and there "will be new attempts at conversion".

The Rajas Sulaiman Group claimed responsibility for bombing the SuperFerry 14 in Manila Harbour on February 26 last year, killing more than 100 people. The group member Redondo Cain Delloso is in jail awaiting trial for the bombing.

Mr Gonzales told the Herald the role of Filipino terrorists had historically been to provide training venues, not to export terrorists. But recent intelligence on marine terrorism from those in custody suggests this may be changing. It claims Jemaah Islamiah and Abu Sayyaf members are being trained in scuba diving in preparation for attacks on ships.

Mr Gonzales said fewer than 10 people were understood to be involved in the plot. "So far, all the operations we have uncovered were done by very small cells.

"In the past we always thought bombings were connected to some of the things we did domestically, but we are now looking at an international extension, at a new global phenomenon."
