For every story like this there was probably twenty others where there was no vomit, where local Jersey Airbnb host was able to earn a nice little sum and where Airbnb renters were decent people that didn't cause any issues.
I personally have used Airbnb for all my trips to Honolulu the last few years hand have always managed to get a very clean ,freshly renovated place with parking for 30% less than what a compareable hotel would cost. I am sure Airbnb renters in Jersey city are also able to save some money while allowing the owner to earn a little money.
I am going to be voting no even though this doesn't directly impact me. My condo doesn't allow Airbnb. The way I see it, property owners in JC have been hard twice last year, first with the reval , then with the capping of the the SALT at $10,000. Now the city seems to want to make it harder to earn a little extra from their property.

2 Black Keys Floor Seats for Sale for Tues Oct 15 @ Barclay w/ Modest Mouse

Newbie

I apologize if this is the wrong category, couldnt find one for sales:

Bought 4 but two of my friends can't make it (I never learn...). Don't want to rip anyone off, just looking to get back what I paid per ticket after all the ridiculous fees. These are hard tickets so therefore this will involve meeting up; I'm not a creep and hope you are not either. Serious inquiries only please :)

Feel free to email me directly at projectgreenville@gmail.com

2 tickets, Floor Section 7, Row 10, Seats 11 and 12. $200 each, in person, the sooner the better for both of us. If you feel more comfortable using StubHub they are listed there as well, but it will cost more due to their fees and shipping etc. Here's the link though if you'd like to take a look:

https://www.stubhub.com/the-black-keys ... 104083510/?sort=price+asc

Open to polite, equivocal trade(s) =)

The Mana does not have historic JC artifacts. In 1960, I was a child, reading about JC having a 300th birthday. I lived in Hoboken, both the Jersey Journal and the Hudson Dispatch ran stories on JC history. There was a building that had artifacts on Jersey City near the old Dutch cemetery. Those artifacts are nowhere to be found. The only thing that is left is the 16th century Dutch Bible. A lot of times are missing.

Jersey City Asks Residents For Help Getting Rid Of Spotted Lanternflies

October 8, 2019 at 9:55 am

JERSEY CITY (CBSNewYork) ? Residents of Jersey City are being asked to help get rid of a plant and tree-killing insect invading Jersey City.

Several residents have reported seeing Spotted Lanternflies.

The insect is native to Asia and was first spotted in the U.S. in Pennsylvania.

The New Jersey Department of Agriculture says it lays eggs on crops and plants and eventually kills them.

The bugs can lay egg masses with up to 50 eggs each.

Officials fear the Spotted Lanternfly can destroy Jersey City?s urban forest.

I do not know why potty training is a big deal. Wait until your child can go the whole night without accidents Make sure they do not have liquid before bed time. It is easier to do this during the summer when they have less clothes. I trained one child in four days during the summer and another in two weeks during the winter. Don't stress over this and your child will not stress over the training.

See the stunning new N.J. art exhibit that thousands stopped to visit

By Aristide Economopoulos | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com

Thousands of visitors traveled to Jersey City (JOURNAL SQUARE) this past Sunday to attend The Mana Contemporary Fall 2019 Open House.

Over 100 studios were open, with the artists meeting members of the public and talking about their work. According to Mana Contemporary's Artistic Director and co-founder Eugene Lemay, having the open house twice a year allows the artists the time to develop new work that they can share with the public. A free event, it is one of two open houses Mana puts on each year, with one also taking place in the spring.

Jersey City?s loss is Rutgers? gain: Dormant museum collection 'gifted? to state university

The sign sits in front of 350 Montgomery St., a silent reminder of an institution that thrived for more than 100 years, then ran into financial troubles and died a slow death.

?Jersey City Museum? says the sign in white letters, just below an official Jersey City logo. The sign belongs to the city. The museum, which closed in 2010 and reopened briefly in 2012, did not.

100% agree. Intuitively you would read it as "NO" means ban Air BNB and "Yes" means keep Air BnB, not the other way around. This will be very interesting.

JERSEY CITY ? The public got its first look Wednesday at plans for the restaurant and event venue that will replace Casino in the Park, the longtime Lincoln Park institution that closed in 2017.

Hudson County officials and representatives from Landmark Developers unveiled renderings of the 25,000-square-foot building that will rise in place of the banquet hall during a public meeting Wednesday night.
