wasn't there some sort of take back the block type meeting with residents of Wayne b/t Jersey and Barrow and local police? Not sure of outcome, but that block seems to bring nothing but trouble.

The woman who runs the antique store is extremely nice and certainly doesn't deserve bulletholes in her store. Though I'm guessing that wasn't the idiot shooter's target...

I live way up by 9th & Manila and heard the police cars racing by around 3am.

Guys, definitely NOT the firecrackers. Heard 4 gunshots around 3 a.m., then it seemed like someone was escaping the place in a car. The police came shortly afterward, looking for the shells around the antique shop. Would be nice to know what happened there. The news don't mention the episode whatsoever.

I woke tonight as I heard those shots. Then I heard a car rushing away and saw a bunch of police cars and a big police suv (probably a squad in there) coming to the corner of Mercer and Jersey. They were talking to a bunch of black dudes standing in front of the antique store, and searched for bullet shells around there.

So definitely not a firework show. Watch out for the news as they must follow. Whoever knows more about it please post a message.
