The $200 was a payment to keep his mouth shut and not tell anyone what he saw!

But gee, the next time I take a crap I'll first check all the windows and doors!

Yes, my post was in bad taste but note the way the article was written by the reporter - As I said in another thread, JC as a whole lacks empathy. This is why I think JC has so much crime and will continue to do so.
Reporters, Police, City Hall and I imagine a good % of the community have a 'who gives a siht' and 'what's in it for me' attitude.

The lesson I read in this news report, is that parts of JC can't guarantee you a secure private crap within your own home, and that personal and property security should be your No1 investment here.

it's just getting re-god-damn-diculous.

that has got to be such a traumatizing event for this person. i mean, every single time the guy gets in the shower now for the rest of his life, he's not going to be able to relax.

what a scum bag.

these articles NEVER go the way I want them to go.

why not:

"as the man dragged him out of the shower at knife point, the naked victim slammed him over the head with his hair dryer, dazing the perpetrator. he followed that up with an across the face swat with a weight scale, causing the man to collapse to the ground of the bathroom floor, flat on his back. the naked man then asked the intruder if he was ready for tea, but his was no ordinary cup of tea he had in mind........."

one day.

Definitely 'schadenfreude', so is comparing the incident to a Hitchcock movie!

Robbed while in shower, he tells cops

Thursday, June 21, 2007
BERNETTE PEARSON
JOURNAL STAFF WRITER

With shades of the classic Alfred Hitchcock film "Psycho," a Jersey City man found that even one's own shower is no safe haven from crime.

The man was brazenly attacked at knifepoint and robbed yesterday while taking his morning shower at about 5:45 a.m., according to police.

The victim, a resident of Clinton Avenue, was in the shower when a man came into his bathroom and pulled him out, a police report said. The victim told police the man held a knife to his neck and demanded money, the report said.

After telling the attacker where his money was located - in a night stand - the attacker took $200 and a silver Timex watch, according to the report.

Apparently the attacker had come in through the kitchen window, which was open at the time, the report said.

The victim told police the screen in that window was ripped.
