Withdraw or vote down these raises | Jersey Journal editorial

Today 6:30 AM (8-12-2021) By Jersey Journal Editorial

The Hudson County Board of Commissioners should vote down a resolution on today’s agenda that would give 3% raises to a number of top county officials, including County Executive Tom DeGise.

The proposed raises come just five months after the same group of officials received 2.5% pay hikes retroactive to last summer.

Updated 5:48 PM; Today 5:47 PM By Peter D’Auria | The Jersey Journal

Top Hudson County officials could see pay increases this week — their second in six months.

The Hudson County Board of Commissioners will consider a resolution this week that would give 3% raises to a slate of county officials, including the county executive, administrator, and department heads.
