Bob Kakoleski is a fair and honest man dealing with the public, his departure will be missed.

Two top officials with Mayor Steve Fulop's administration are departing city government.

Business Administrator Bob Kakoleski was appointed to that role soon after Fulop became mayor in July 2013. Kakoleski was hired as Rutherford's borough administrator on Tuesday night.

David Donnelly, tapped by Fulop to lead the autonomous Jersey City Redevelopment Agency in 2014, is stepping down to take a job with a family business in Texas. Donnelly is a former Ward B councilman.
