It IS a bit high for that area; however, I've seen similar units go for $2000-$2500 (and get rented quickly!).

Sure, it's not as close to downtown, but it does benefit from lots of transportation options. Lightrail, kind of a long but doable walk to Hoboken PATH, 123 to NYC goes down Palisade Ave, etc.

The light rail elevators, the buses into Hoboken for the Hoboken Path, proximity to the Lincoln Tunnel also expedite the commute. Many of the rentals in the Heights are much larger, too, which allows for people to do comfortable shares. This brings the cost down per renter. Also, new restaurants, bars, art galleries, farmers markets are in the area now. Many people are renting in the Heights and taking Uber downtown or to Hoboken for nightlife as well.

That may have been the case at one time but it's a whole new world at least up here.

Holy Crap, that's insane rent for anywhere other than downtown! But hey, good luck to you. If you can get it, get it.

I was thinking the same thing. There are larger units in BeLa, with similar or better finishes, going for less, and some have the advantage of being much closer to DTJC (time wise) and all are within walking distance of JC's best all-around park: LSP.

But, with the JC market being so irrational and overheated, perhaps the asking rent is totally within reach. Good luck!

Hey all,

I'm renting out a 3bd/2ba newly renovated unit in JC Heights for $2860/month - available immediately.

The place is beautiful with all brand new appliances, refinished floors, skylights, video security system, Nest controlled A/C, Washer/Dryer in unit, and more.

Check it out:
