Military flyover exercises planned

By Margaret Schmidt | The Jersey Journal
on March 11, 2017 at 10:51 AM

An alert has gone out that approximately 10 military helicopters will conduct a flyover training exercise over the Verrazano Bridge, Hudson River, East River, Harlem River, and the Statue of Liberty both today and Tuesday.

The choppers are expected to fly between 500 and 1,000 feet.

Today, the exercise is set for between 1 and 3 p.m.

On Tuesday, the exercise is set for between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There's no word on whether the exercises will take place if the expected snowstorm materializes.
