I suspect it's arisen to the level of a potential safety hazard. It's insane, frustrating and depressing.

Agreed. They seem to give no thought to the issuing of nearby permits. I've been sent literally in circles by adjacent closures. Between construction on the skyway, 139, Tpk extension and Bayonne Bridge, it sometimes seems like we're in lockdown. When getting to the Heights via Patterson Plank becomes appealing, you know it's a mess.

It's become almost impossible moving in, out and around JC as a result of all of the various projects including residential construction.
