P.S. 15 eighth grader Rosemarie Stanley, 13, visited her guidance counselor's open-door office every day this past school year. So when she started dating another girl, she knew who to talk through her concerns with.

"I wanted to come out to my mother that I was bisexual, so I came out to Ms. Goldman (first)," Stanley said smiling.

"She's a nice, caring person, and she's always giving advice. She's always there when you need her."

Among P.S. 15 guidance counselor Lori Goldman's other fans are former eighth graders Messiah Davis, 15, who said Goldman is one of the people he most respects in the entire building, and her frequent visitor, Winston Ynoa, 13, who wants to be a doctor.
