Ranked 24? it's still too high for my liking. Nothing to be proud of Jersey City.

Think Jersey City is a dangerous place? A new study shows that despite what some think, the city doesn't even rank in the top 20 most dangerous towns in N.J., according to a new report.

Real estate website Movoto sifted through the FBI's 2013 Uniform Crime Report to look at 234 municipalities across the state with more than 10,000 people.

Movoto then looked at crime per capita, weighing murders, violent crimes and property crimes per person heavier than each town's total crimes per person. After crunching numbers, they found each city's "chance of crime" score.

Not one Hudson County municipality cracked the top 20, with Jersey City coming in highest at No. 24. Harrison tied with Bloomfield at No. 34, and no other Hudson town made the top 50, making our county relatively safe.

Maybe we can stop with is this place safe BS ?

All that's great and encouraging. But we do have some troubled neighbors to the west, i.e. Irvington and Newark, that keeps us on our toes.

Plus when you're shelling out 600K-1.2mm on a home, you have a low tolerance for bad behavior, and the ability to up sticks and move to a safe if vanilla suburb.
