We were in last night too. Enjoyed the assortment of fritters, octopus, fried squid and the skirt steak. Really nice space, good food and a great addition to DTJC.

Ate at Broa last night. Enjoyed the fritters and croquettes, octopus salad, scallops, etc. The veal/chorizo croquettes may have been my favorites. The space is, as said below, much prettier than I would have ever expected. BYO and closed on Tuesdays. He will start opening for lunch soon.

Nice addition to the neighborhood. Hubby and I ate well for $38 before tip.

Maybe Tuesday is their "dark" day, as I looked in last evening - closed.

I walked by there at about 12:30 today. It was closed. Has it been open for lunch on other days?

i think it lends an air of mystery and intrigue to the place. there is a placard outside the door that indicates when it is open.

They might be keeping the curtains down to keep radiated cold from seeping into the space, and to better retain heat inside the place.

Totally agreed on the space - it kind of shocks you with how nice it is, especially if you saw its earlier incarnation.

Coffee, chorizo and ham sandwiches, soups, bean salads, and some really ethnic stuff like snails. Some of the stuff looked really good. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, one of the nicer spaces I've seen in JC.

They appear to be dealing with some drainage issues on that basement landing. Saw a pump out there earlier this week. Shame because they spent a lot of time doing a nice tile/mosaic, but it's submerged under murky water any time it rains.

A yahoo article (dated 8/9) posted on the facebook page says "any day now": https://www.facebook.com/pages/BROA/354299491342834

So I'm guessing 2015
