Yes, with newly appointed commissioners, its looks like the mayor made an end run around his own supported (and touted in his tv commercial) pay-to-play reforms.

The law firm also represented Spectra along with former senator Torricelli whom are all over the mayor's and his council team's elec reports.

What's next?

Another one of McGreevey's associates, it appears the people that surrounded the former governor are now surrounding Fulop.

John Thieroff is more than qualified and a good choice. However, I do have concerns IF he still works for the city. If not, its a great appointment.

The Mayor has been "loading" up boards with mostly newly hired city workers which can be problematic.

I also found this interesting - http://www.nj.com/opinion/index.ssf/2 ... he_scen.html#incart_river. The candidate moves here a few years ago, recently appointed to the MUA and now a freeholder candidate.

Can I assume this John Thieroff is the deputy mayor that quit after 3 months and once the Journal Sq development plan was passed to a favorite developer/donor ?

John Thieroff will be on the MUA board, I remember Councilman Fulop complaining that Mayor Healy is placing the same people on boards. Now Mayor Fulop is doing the same thing.
