I'm no fan of the PA. But how can we question the salaries, without knowing the job descriptions.

We can only question the CTO and the Procurement Officer's salaries...

I've only worked in the private sector, but from my experience a CTO making 230K is not that outrageous. "The median expected salary for a typical Chief Technology Officer in the United States is $194,911". Considering we are in the NYC metropolitan area, most CTO's probably make significantly more than that.

Per the same website above, the Procurement Officer salary does seem high, but I have no personal experience to speak to that.

the number of Port Authority employees collecting a salary of $100,000 or more rose to nearly 1,400 in 2009, according to this report in the New York Post.

About 90 additional employees, joined the ranks of those earning $100,000 last year either through newly created positions or raises, bringing the total to 1,387.
