Forty homes are in the running for the 2013 title of "Best Christmas Decorated Home'' in Jersey City.
The contest, sponsored by Jersey City Television, culminates with a Christmas special at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and 4 p.m. Christmas Day on Jersey City Comcast Channel 190. Now in its 11th year, the contest annually recognizes the Christmas spirit that lights up the city and awards cash and gift certificates as prizes. ?I like recognizing what people do to their homes,? cable TV personality Pat O?Melia told The Jersey Journal last year. ?This is a fun thing every year. Everybody is into Christmas. I?m a big Christmas guy and I really love this.? The accompany gallery shows three of the homes that are in the running.    JJ
