Jersey City police are investigating a bank robbery in Downtown Jersey City this morning, public safety spokesman Bob McHugh said.
The robbery occurred this morning at the Bancorp Community Bank at Washington and Sussex streets in Jersey City, McHugh said.

McHugh said Jersey City police are currently on scene, but additional information on the incident was not immediately available.

The latest bank robbery is the second bank robbery to occur in Jersey City this week.

On Tuesday, a man in his 50s held up the Santander Bank on Newark Avenue at gunpoint, police said.
