both theaters are beautiful but I can't see how much usage you are going to get if Loew's isn't fully functioning....The stanley has a lot of activity all the time for their meetings and things...Is loew's fully booked that you are asking for the Stanley too? ? LOL
Hey if people want to re-build the Loew's just get a crew of volunteers from jersey city with an interest in it and let's get it done. Can't expect the Stanley people do JC's job..they already at least conserved that piece of history ...god only knows it would of probably been demo'd to make room for an ugly high rise.

The video I have the link to is really a video that I think is shown during the JW tours of the Stanley.

I don?t think there will be any more Grateful Dead concerts there ..well maybe a different kind of greatful dead.

We had the privilege of going to the Stanley and Loews to watch flicks as kids. The ceiling of the Stanley always amazed me. I was in another world a real escape from gritty JC back in the day.

I remember the JW?s working on the Stanley they were like hundreds of ants attacking the building. Just image all of the work scraping all of the decades of old paint off of that beautiful marquee.

Too bad they couldn?t lend a few hundred hands to help restore the Loews.

So are the Jehovah Witnesses ever gonna let any events for the public happen there ever? I appreciate that they own it, but right now its not benefiting JSQ or the people of JC at all.

Hey Dahood you didn?t link to a video in the other thread. Did you mean this video? Amazing story of the Stanley. The JW people really saved that masterpiece of a theater. I figured it was better to have it in a separate thread so it doesn?t take away from user1111's great JC video.
