They're all clones of one another, built in the mid 70's. I'd be interested to know what pre-dated them - does anyone on this board know?

Oh man, that whole stretch of Manila is a disaster and a real embarrassment to downtown. I wish the city could purchase the whole stretch and sell it to developers who would develop it with a height restriction. What's up with those Bayonne-ish houses, along the entire stretch and nowhere else anywhere downtown?

Since no entrances to property face that sidewalk, perhaps the city is solely responsible, and that's why it's in such bad shape?

With the exception of the baseball park, they should rip down everything on the east side of Manila between 1st and 9th and start over.

What is that all about? Every tree is surrounded by urine soaked foliage and the sidewalk looks like a roller coaster. Anyone know who is responsible for maintaining the sidewalks?
