Bah dum bum. Yeah, we're the best friends of musicians, and comedians like you. Old music jokes are timeless, I can clearly remember the first time I heard "don't quit your dayjob" from one of my sister's jazz crowd, and though it was hysterical.

There's the bulletin board at Metropolis, it has a scattering of wanted ads. Have fun, but when I was in my 20's it was hard to find people to play with who didn't think it was going to be their career. I knew I was much better at my dayjob than I was at drumming. Maybe it's easier now that we're old(er)!

I forgot about Metropolis. Guess it's worth a shot. Anything is better than the nightmare that is Craigslist.

Hey, I WAS one of those 20 year olds. Now I'd just like to turn an amp up past 1 with some other thirty somethings.

I'm one of those aging Gen-Xers who wants to break out the guitar again and find some people to noodle with, but there don't seem to be any local sources to find other musicians downtown. Any suggestions? Practice spaces?

BTW, this is purely weekend warrior type stuff. Any serious aspirations to make it in the industry left me a decade ago. Thanks.
