It was a chopper - a car coming down the ramp to enter the tunnel flipped over and the chopper decided to watch/tape it for 1.5 hours !

Thanks! We are new to the area, so I guess we will become immune to this soon enough!

Likely it is just another News Helicopter -- there are lots of threads on here from many years of noise -- welcome to Downtown -- Suburban commuters just love to see Manhattan in the morning on their big screen TVs....

Did anyone else hear a loud humming almost like a plane or helicopter hovering early this AM around 5:30? It lasted on and off for about 1.5 hours. Just wondering if anyone knows what this was.
